It’s “Back to School” time and The Crisco Kidd Block Party is currently seeking highly- motivated college students to intern in our Programming, Digital and Video Departments.   • Contesting, screening listener calls, show prep research and talent shadowing (assisting with daily tasks/projects)
  • Promotional events such as concerts, community functions, station/club remotes
  • Work with community organizations, locals schools, and colleges/universities


  • Marketing (e-blast, blogs, content, social networking sites), creative writing and updating personality web pages and social media sites
  • Research (music, movies, local community interests, entertainment) in your perspective city/market


  • Record, produce and distribute original and viral content


Prospective candidates must currently be enrolled in an accredited University. Undergraduate Junior and Senior year students are preferred; qualified Sophomores may be considered.

Interns must be in good academic standing and available 15-25 hours per week.

Student must also possess good work ethics such as punctuality, self motivation, and willingness to learn. Students must also be people oriented and serious about moving their career forward.


Able to interact with the public in an enthusiastic and professional manner.

Prior experience serving the public in industries such as radio, restaurant, retail, and special events, a plus.

Web savvy, familiar with Photoshop, photography skills beneficial, shooting/editing video skills beneficial and knowledge of basic HTML/CSS helpful. Communications majors and Art majors encouraged to apply .


“WON’T BACK DOWN” – ‘Teachers Rock’ Press Release





Los Angeles, Ca. (July 24, 2012) – Live on August 14th at 7:30 p.m. from Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE, Ken Ehrlich Productions, Anschutz Film Group/Walden Media, and AEG present TEACHERS ROCK presented by Walmart and Walden Media’s upcoming feature film “Won’t Back Down”, a special tribute concert celebrating teachers and education and benefitting several non-profit organizations, featuring some of the biggest names in music, film and sports.

The benefit concert will showcase live performances by Dierks BentleyFun. and Josh Groban and special appearances by Viola Davis from “Won’t Back Down”, Josh Hutcherson, Miranda Cosgrove, Pauley Perrette, Roshon Fegan and many more.  Proceeds from TEACHERS Rock will benefit three non-profit organizations:, Feeding America and Teach for America.

Tickets for this special benefit, starting at just $40, will go on-sale this Friday, July 27th at 10 a.m. at all Ticketmaster outlets,, plus via Charge-By-Phone (800.745.3000).  A limited number of VIP packages will also be offered for TEACHERS ROCK, which include tickets to a post-concert party atL.A. LIVE.

The TEACHERS ROCK concert will feature scenes from Walden Media’s upcoming motion picture “Won’t Back Down,” released by 20th Century Fox.  The film stars Maggie Gyllenhaal and Viola Davis, who play two determined mothers­, one a teacher, who will stop at nothing to transform their children’s failing inner city school.   Facing a powerful and entrenched bureaucracy, they risk everything to make a difference in the education and future of their children.  This powerful story of parenthood, friendship and courage mirrors events that are making headlines daily.

The Devil Inside: DVD/Blu-ray Disc Release Event “LA’s Infamous Linda Vista Hospital” (video)


Originally opened in 1904 by the Santa Fe Railroad, the once heralded hospital fell into disrepair by the 1980s and became known for its high number of patient deaths. Now long-abandoned, and rife with tales of terrifying happenings throughout the decades, the hospital provided an ideal setting for a foray into the world beyond what we see…

Attending press learned about the hospital’s chilling manifestations from members of the “Boyle Heights Paranormal Project” and spoke with cast members from the film Suzan Crowley (“Maria Rossi”) and Bonnie Morgan (“Rosa”) as well as Maja D’Aoust, the White Witch of Los Angeles.  Upon their departure, attendees were blessed by a priest.
