According to TMZ, Heavy D, born Dwight Arrington Myers, has passed away after being rushed to an L-A hospital on Tuesday afternoon. The rapper, who had huge hit songs in the ‘90s, was found unconscious inside his Beverly Hills home when a call to 911 was placed. Myers actually regained consciousness and was speaking while being transported to the hospital but he died moments later. Heavy D was only 44 years old. The news comes just a month after he performed a medley of his hit songs at the 2011 BET Hip Hop Awards. Authorities say there are no obvious signs of foul play.  We’ll keep you posted.
