BEYONCE HIGHLY FAVORED AT GLASTONBURY

According to DigitalSpy.com, Beyonce’s impressive showcase at the Glastonbury Festival not only marks the first time a female headlined the event, but her performance was named Glastonbury’s favorite act by the festival’s viewers. With 43.6-percent of the vote, the singer beat out rock legends including Coldplay and U2.

JIM JONSIN WANTS TO TAKE BIEBER BACK TO THE ‘80S

Producer Jim Jonsin has some interesting plans for when he gets in the studio with Justin Bieber. Jonsin told MTV News he wants to take Bieber back to the ‘80s for a New Edition and New Kids on the Block vibe. He said he would like Bieber to do a song like NKOTB’s “Please Don’t Go Girl,” “because the girls would go crazy.” Read more at MTV.com/News.

· Jim Jonsin admitted that, at first, he didn’t know what to make of Bieber. But thanks to his Never Say Never film, the hitmaker has a newfound respect for the young star, saying, “I was floored and inspired at who he was as a person. Justin Bieber maintains his stranglehold on the top of Billboard’s Social 50 chart. Lady Gaga is up one spot to number two, while Katy Perry falls one notch to number three. Selena Gomez leaps nine spots to number five thanks to the release of her new album, When The Sun Goes Down. Shakira, Eminem, Linkin Park, Rihanna, Michael Jackson and Nicki Minaj round out the top ten.

JILL SCOTT DROPS OVER 60 POUNDS

Jill Scott talks about her new physique in the latest issue of Us Weekly. After dropping over 63 pounds, the singer revealed that the secret to her weight loss was “eating three low-fat meals every day as well as two snacks” and working out for 60-minutes three times a week with a personal trainer. Scott is glad that she’s much healthier now and added, “I’ll never be a stick-thin figure!” In related news, her latest album, Light Of The Sun, is in stores now.

NE-YO TO DROP NEW SINGLE SOON!

According to HipHop-N-More.com, Ne-Yo is giving new details on the follow-up to last year’s Libra Scale. The singer said that the forthcoming disc will be a blend of R&B tunes and dance records. In addition, he revealed that fans can expect the disc to arrive this September and that he hopes to issue the lead single before the beginning of August.

ESTELLE IS INFLUENCED BY HIP HOP

British native Estelle has been making waves all over the globe with her new single, “Break My Heart” featuring Rick Ross. Since the tune has a definite old-school grove, we asked her how hip hop has impacted her career. Here’s what Estelle told us (See Related Cut #4). “Break My Heart” is the first single from Estelle’s third album, All of Me. Fans can expect the disc to drop later this year.

DAVID GUETTA TALKS “WHERE THEM GIRLS AT”

David Guetta has scored a hit with “Where Them Girls At” featuring Flo Rida and Nicki Minaj. The song was recorded over a year ago, according to Guetta.

“‘Where Them Girls At’ was recorded, actually, a year ago at the same time that I produced ‘Club Can’t Handle Me’ for Flo Rida. And we made both of those records and I was like ‘Man! I cannot give you two huge hits like this, we have to negotiate something!’ So the idea was ‘Okay, you take this one, I get this one.’”

Guetta also told us about adding Nicki Minaj to the track.

“Because it was like a year after, I wanted to bring a little bit of something new and crazy. And I asked Nicki Minaj to come with her part, and she definitely delivered two-hundred percent.”

Nothing But The Beat will arrive in stores and digital retailers on August 30th.

FERGIE REMEMBERS “I GOTTA FEELING”

The Black Eyed Peas’ 2009 David Guetta-produced single, “I Gotta Feeling,” broke records as the best-selling song in digital history, with over seven-million downloads. We caught up with Fergie back when the song was taking off and she explained how it struck a chord with their fans.

“It felt like ‘Where Is the Love’ when we had that song that really touched upon a nerve of the sentiment of that time. And with the recession and this environment, it really felt like people needed a pick-me-up and kind of an escape, somewhere to feel good. And music is always that place.”

The Black Eyed Peas latest single, “Don’t Stop the Party,” is available for download at iTunes.

AARON CARTER REVEALS THAT MJ GAVE HIM COCAINE

In an interview with OK! Magazine in Australia, Aaron Carter gives new details about time he spent with the late Michael Jackson. The 23-year-old singer opened up, revealing that Jackson gave him wine and cocaine when he was 15. Back in 2004, Carter’s mother told Access Hollywood that Aaron spent a night at Jackson’s Neverland Ranch, suggesting that Michael gave her son drugs, but Carter denied the claims at the time. Aaron, the younger brother of Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter, entered rehab back in January to seek help for “emotional and spiritual issues.”

· Aaron Carter on the time he spent with Michael Jackson: “I never talked about it, This is the first time… I miss Michael… I have spent such incredible times with him. I did things with him that nobody else did… But I was also troubled about what he did to me.”
