R KELLY SUED BY FORMER MANAGER

According to TMZ, R Kelly is facing a lawsuit filed by his ex-manager for over a million dollars for unpaid services. Apparently Kelz failed to pay due to his money being tied up in other “payments to avoid lawsuits and adverse publicity” related to his sexual misconduct. Kelly’s rep insists the claim “is a collection of half-truths, distortions, and outright fabrications.”

Wanna know why there will never be another Michael Jackson? The King Of Pop has broke numerous records, including being the only artist in the 1980’s to have multiple number one hit singles on the Billboard Hot 100. In between 1980 and 1989, MJ had nine songs claim the top spot. He would later add a few more and have a total of 13 songs in his career to hit number one.

JILL SCOTT SPILLS ABOUT HER DIVORCE

For the first time, Jill Scott is dishing new information on why she divorced her ex-husband, Lyzel Williams. The singer spilled to U-K’s Guardian newspaper, “One of the reasons my ex-husband and I broke up is that he stopped eating my food.” Scott added, “He was pissed (off) for other reasons, but the best way to show me was by leaving what I’d made for him uneaten for days on the kitchen counter. It was a smack in the face.” In related news, Jill’s newest album, The Light of the Sun, is available in stores now.

· The couple was together for six years before calling it quits in 2007.

· In 2009, she called off her engagement with the father of her first child.

NICKI MINAJ SETS A VIEWING RECORD

According to reports, Nicki Minaj has just set a new record on Music Choice’s Video on Demand service. The “Moment 4 Life” rapper has reportedly received over 1.4-million views in a single week for her “Super Bass” video. Since the service launched in November of 2004, the amount of views marks the largest ever recorded.

· Nicki’s “Right Thru Me” and “Your Love” are also both seated in the top five spot. The remaining two clips are Justin Bieber’s “Baby” and Lil Wayne’s “Lollipop.”

RICK ROSS FACE TATTOO?

What is it with rappers and face tattoos? Vibe.com reports Rick Ross is the newest entertainer to get permanent ink applied to the left side if his face. Rozay decided to get his favorite eyewear brand, Cazal, written on his cheek. Apparently the rapper has an impressive vintage Cazal collection.

PREVIEW LLOYD’S KING OF HEARTS

Before Lloyd’s King Of Hearts LP hits shelves, fans can preview snippets of the 14-track project. The disc, which includes “Lay It Down” and “Be the One,” can be sampled on YouTube now. If you like what you hear, be sure to purchase the singer’s fourth studio effort on July 5th.

NE-YO LAUNCHES NEW LABEL FOR JAMAICAN ARTISTS

According to JamaicaObserver.com, Ne-Yo has decided to launch a new label dedicated to Jamaican musicians. The singer explained in a statement, “Reggae music is global music; you can go anywhere to hear it. You can go to Australia and hear it.” His new imprint will be called Compound Island.

· In related news, he’s currently working on his upcoming fifth album. The disc will be completed by September.

DRAKE HAS “TRUST ISSUES”

After leaking “Marvin’s Room,” Drake has released another new song called “Trust Issues.”The tune begins with the same chorus to DJ Khaled’s “I’m On One” and then Drizzy explains why he can’t believe anything a woman says. JENNIFER HUDSON TO PREMIERE NEW VIDEO

We’ve just learned Jennifer Hudson has shot the video to her new single, “No One Gonna Love You.” The singer has released still shots of the Diane Martel-directed video, which premieres on BET’s 106 & Park on Friday. The cut is lifted from her latest album, I Remember Me. In related news, her disc just recently reached gold status.

NELLY AND TIMBALAND CLEARED IN LAWSUIT

According to ContactMusic.com, a Florida judge threw out a lawsuit against Timbaland and Nelly Furtado. The two have been cleared of any wrongdoing in a two-year old copyright lawsuit. The heads of Finnish label Kernal Records launched a 20-million dollar lawsuit, claiming that Furtado and Timberland stole elements of their music in their hit, “Do It.”

· Timbaland’s rep released this statement: “We’re very happy. We thought from the beginning that this issue was an important one and followed the plain language of the federal Copyright Act.”

THE BLACK EYES PEAS’ SECRETS TO SUCCESS

With six albums, a slew of number one hits and six GRAMMY Awards, there’s no stopping The Black Eyed Peas. We caught up with Will.i.am, who said it is not easy to have huge success these days. Will.i.am added that times have changed and they just can’t hope people will gravitate to their music. The Black Eyed Peas’ latest single is “Don’t Stop the Party,” off their latest album, The Beginning.

· The Black Eyed Peas have released 15 charting singles and three multi-platinum albums since their debut in 1998.

RICK RUBIN TALKS ADELE’S 21

Adele’s latest album, 21, has taken the whole world by storm, and producer Rick Rubin thinks the effort is just getting started. Rubin, who produced five tracks for the record, told Billboard that the year’s top selling album is just in its “beginning” stages, as there’s only been one single released, “Rolling in the Deep,” and there will probably be “five” when everything is said and done.
