LIL WAYNE PREPS NEW MIXTAPE, WORKING WITH LIL B?

Mack Maine took to his Twitter account to announce that Lil Wayne is working on a new mixtape called Sorry For The Wait. In addition, Lil B tweeted that he scored studio time with Weezy and wrote “last night was amazing, we got something for yall.” While it’s unknown when the project will be released, it’s safe to assume that the tape will drop before Tha Carter IV arrives on August 29th.

· The Base God also wrote, “History has been made” and that “Lil Wayne in the studio is a God, real talk.”

FACT OF THE DAY: KELLY ROWLAND

While everyone seems to praise Beyonce for her accomplishments after Destiny’s Child, we bet you didn’t know that it was Kelly Rowland who scored the first hit song from the group. That’s right, the singer’s duet with Nelly for “Dilemma” remained at number one for 10 weeks. The 2002-smash would later be ranked as the eleventh-most successful song of the 2000-2009 decade.

LLOYD’S OFFICIAL TRACKLIST LEAKS

According to HipHop-N-More.com, the official tracklist for Lloyd’s upcoming album, King Of Hearts, has been released. After a few fake ones surfaced, the real list includes collaborations with Game, Andre 3000, Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, Young Jeezy, Trey Songz, R. Kelly, Keri Hilson and more. Be sure to pick up the disc on July 4th.

WIZ KHALIFA TREATED LIKE A THIEF IN NY STORE

According to RadarOnline.com, Wiz and Amber Rose were mistreated by the staff at Barneys New York last week in Beverly Hills. Even though he dropped 16k on shoes for his boo, a source stated, “Not only did they fail to recognize him, they actually thought that he was a thief and treated him like one! It was only when somebody pointed out to them who the guy actually was that they back-tracked somewhat.”

TECH N9NE DEBUTS ON BILLBOARD 200 CHART

Tech N9ne is probably still smiling from ear to ear after learning that his newly released album, All 6′s & 7′s, debuted at number four on the Billboard 200 chart. The rapper’s highest opening effort to date reportedly sold over 55-thousand copies in seven days. And it’s important to note that Tech accomplished all of this independently!

CHRIS BROWN BEGINS NEW MIXTAPE?

Chris Brown recently announced on Twitter that before he releases his upcoming Fortune LP, he wants to “put put a hip hop mixtape. Well, still debating.” The artist, who flexed his rap skill on “Look At Me Now,” also just released a new video called “Real Hip Hop S**t #2,” which is a follow-up to the “Real Hip Hop S**t” single. · Chris recently wrote, “I never thought people would be mad at me for having fans. I only entertain it because it’s entertaining!”

· BET reports Breezy is scheduled to perform at the BET Awards on June 26th.

MARY J, KELLY TO PERFORM AT BET AWARDS

According to BET.com, Mary J. Blige, Kelly Rowland and Trey Songz have just been added to the list of performers for the 2011 BET Awards. In addition, Cee Lo Green will make a “special appearance” at the show. They join previously confirmed performers Drake, Lil Wayne, Chris Brown and Alicia Keys. Be sure to tune in on June 26th at 8 PM Eastern when the ceremony airs live from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

BEYONCE SAYS SHE FEELS SHY AROUND PEOPLE

According to 411Mania.com, Beyonce revealed that she feels the most uncomfortable in front of small groups of people. The singer, who has performed for millions of fans, explained, “I get really uncomfortable when I’m not performing on the stage or on a photo shoot and have too many people looking at me expecting a performance.” Bey admits that she will “kind of shut down and become shy. I’m better at one-on-one conversations. I do become shy and a bit intimidated when it’s a large group of people, I definitely retreat. At a big dinner I just hope that no one expects anything from me. I wish I’d disappear.” In related news, her upcoming album, 4, arrives on June 28th.

Beyonce has been confirmed as a performer at this year’s Macy’s Fourth Of July Fireworks Spectacular. The diva will reportedly be joined by country music superstar Brad Paisley. Be sure to tune in when the Nick Lachey-hosted event airs on NBC Monday, July 4th from 9 to 10 PM Eastern.

SKYLAR GREY TALKS MYSTERY COLLABORATION

Skylar Grey has collaborated with the likes of Eminem, Rihanna, Lupe Fiasco, Dr. Dre and Alex Da Kid. The 25-year-old singer and songwriter told us she has a special guest feature on her debut album, but would not dish on who it is.

“There is a special guest. There is one collaboration on it, and I’m not going to tell you who it is yet, because I’m waiting for the right opportunity to announce it because it’s really major. It’s something I’ve been trying to get for a long time, and I finally did, and now we’re like best friends.”

Skylar Grey will make her solo debut performance at Lollapalooza in August. She will release her debut album, Invisible, in the fall.
