NEW DETAILS ON B.O.B’S NEXT ALBUM

According to Rap-Up.com, Jim Jonsin has spilled new details surrounding B.o.B’s forthcoming sophomore effort. The producer, who is responsible for “Nothin’ on You,” said that the lead single could be a song called “Rule the World.” Jonsin added, “We cut four songs and there’s two that I really like. One record has like a reggae vibe to it, hip-hop with some reggae. It’s pretty big.” As for the direction of the disc, the hitmaker admits the Grand Hustle artist is still “figuring it out” and doesn’t plan to have as many features as his debut effort, The Adventures of Bobby Ray.

CATCH EMINEM, ROYCE DA 5’9” ON MTV’S RAPFIX

History is being made on MTV’s RapFix Live as Eminem and Royce Da 5’ 9” have agreed to chop it up with MTV News’ Sway Calloway for an exclusive interview. While in Detroit on the set of their new music video for “Fast Lane,” the rappers discussed their upcoming joint EP, Hell: The Sequel, and much more. Be sure to tune for RapFix Live on MTV.com today (5/18) at 4 PM Eastern.
·       THell: The Sequel will be released via Shady/Interscope Records on June 14th.

BEYONCE GETS PREMIERE DATE FOR VIDEO

According to her official website, Beyonce plans to premiere the visual for her new single, “Run the World (Girls),” on American Idol. The diva will unleash the video tonight (5/18) at 8 PM Eastern on FOX. The news comes as the clip was delayed from being released last week on Vevo.

MINDLESS BEHAVIOR ANNOUNCE NEW TOUR

We’ve just learned Mindless Behavior have announced that they will headline the upcoming No ID Tour, which also includes Young Money’s Tyga and Lil Twist. The trek kicks off in Los Angeles on July 7th and ends on August 6th in Atlanta.  For fans who want to score passes, tickets for the tour go on sale on Friday.
·       The outing will also include performances from Trevante and Jawan Harris.

NICKI MINAJ DROPS DIDDY AS MANAGER

According to XXLMag.com, a source close to Nicki Minaj has revealed that she is no longer under management with Diddy and James Cruz. Apparently, the Young Money princess initially thought Puff would have a more active involvement with her career. The source spilled that the decision was amicable and no hard feelings linger between the mogul and the fem-cee, who is now being managed by Hip-Hop Since 1978.
·       Hip-Hop Since 1978 also manages Lil Wayne, Drake, Young Jeezy and Just Blaze.
·       Nicki was originally managed by Debra Antney, who is Waka Flocka Flame’s mother.

The music of Nicki Minaj will be featured on this week’s episode of Randy Jackson Presents America’s Best Dance Crew as they continue the season of the “Superstars.”  Watch the remaining five crews dance to the rapper’s biggest hits, including “Moment 4 Life” and “Did It On Em,” tomorrow night (5/19) at 10 PM Eastern only on MTV.

MARIAH INSPIRED BY TWIN, PREPS NEW ALBUM

Nick Cannon can’t stop talking about the mother of his twins, Mariah Carey. The comedian told Rap-Up.com that the singer has already begun working on the follow-up to 2009’s Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel. Cannon said Mi Mi is “truly inspired” by motherhood and has “already been doing some preliminary work and meeting with a lot of producers and has tons of ideas.” In the meantime, Carey is focused on contributing to FOX’s The X Factor, which will premiere later this fall. 
·       Nick’s comedy album, Mr. Showbiz, is now available on iTunes.

NAS RECORDS HIS TENTH STUDIO ALBUM!

According to Billboard.com, Nas revealed that he’s started working on his tenth album. The rapper spilled that he’s in “a different place now” than he was when he did 2008’s Untitled and that he’s “just happy about music.” Esco added that there’s no concept for the disc yet, explaining, “My new album that I’m working on is free flowing. GAME ANNOUNCES RELEASE DATE FOR R.E.D. ALBUM

Game has taken to his Twitter account to announce the launch date of his long-awaited R.E.D. Album. The “Red Nation” rapper tweeted that the disc will be in stores on August 23rd and he thanked all his fans for their “continuous love and support.” For those who think this date won’t stick and will be further delayed, the rapper added, “it’s like a FAT GIRL….. It won’t move!”

·       The disc will also include guest spots from Dr. Dre, Cool & Dre, Chris Brown, Trey Songz, Nelly Furtado and more.

STEVIE WONDER, CEE-LO FIRE HEAD TO ACL

Fans headed to this year’s Austin City Limits Music Festival will get the chance to see Stevie Wonder and Cee Lo Green take the stage. The annual event takes place at Zilker Park from September 16th through the 18th. Other acts on the bill include Arcade Fire, Coldplay, My Morning Jacket and more. Tickets are on sale now at ACLFestival.com.

BRUNO MARS TOP U-K CHARTS

Bruno Mars’ latest single, “The Lazy Song,” is on top of the U-K singles chart, ending the four-week reign of LMFAO’s “Party Rock Anthem.”  Meanwhile, Adele’s 21 tops the album chart for the 15th week, 12 of which were consecutive

·       Bruno Mars has now had three U-K number one singles from his debut album, Doo-Wops & Hooligans, which topped the album chart back in January.  “The Lazy Song,” “Just The Way You Are” and “Grenade” have each been number one.
