CHRIS BROWN’S GUEST FEATURES CONTINUES TO GROW

Since Chris Brown is refusing to do interviews, fans have to rely on his Twitter page to find out news surrounding his upcoming album, Fortune. So far, Breezy has announced that the follow-up to F.A.M.E. will include contributions from will.i.am, David Guetta, Asher Roth, Wiz Khalifa, Nas and Kid Sister. ETTA JAMES FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS ANNOUNCED

After passing away on January 20th, the memorial and funeral arrangements for Etta James have been announced. CNN reports there will be a public viewing on Friday at the Inglewood Cemetery in Inglewood, California. In addition, there will be a private funeral service the following day where Rev. Al Sharpton will preside over the service. The “At Last” singer died on Friday at the age of 73 after battling leukemia, dementia and hepatitis C.

- The funeral will take place at Greater Bethany Community Church City of Refuge in Gardena, California.

NE-YO FINDS NEW LABEL HOME AT MOTOWN

After parting ways with Def Jam, Ne-Yo has reportedly has signed to Motown Records and has been appointed Senior Vice President of A&R. Billboard.biz reports the singer will also bring his Compound Entertainment imprint to his new label home. Ne-Yo in a statement, “I’m honored that I’ve been given such a prestigious title and trusted with such responsibility; terrified because I know that playing this role in the fashion of one of my career role models, Mr. Smokey Robinson—these are big shoes to fill. But trust, I can handle it.” Ne-Yo’s fifth album, The Cracks in Mr. Perfect, is due this summer.

NICKI MINAJ BREAKS RECORD WITH “STUPID HOE” VIDEO

Is there anything Nicki Minaj can’t do? The Young Money fem-cee has reportedly broken a record on Vevo for having the highest single video views within the first 24 hours of release. After releasing her Hype Williams-directed visual to “Stupid Hoe,” the Queens native racked up 4.8-million views. In related news, her sophomore album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, is set for an April 3rd release.

COMMON DOESN’T KNOW WHEN DRAKE BEEF WILL END

We’re still scratching our heads over the beef brewing between Common and Drake. During an interview with Bossip.com, the Chicago native touched on when he plans to patch things up with Drizzy. He explained, “I really honestly don’t know how things will end. I just want to put out there that it’s not a thing where I don’t like him as a human being or like I got something against him personally. That’s not what it is.” Common feels that since Drake took the first jab, “If you come at me, I’ma fight until the end. I’m not talking about physical. TYGA TO COLLABORATE WITH NICKI, NAS ON CARELESS WORLD

XXLMag.com reports that Tyga is cooking up some great music for his upcoming album, Careless World: Rise of the Last King. The Young Money rapper revealed that his label mate, Nicki Minaj, will appear on the project on a track called “Muthf**cka Up.” He stated, “That one is one of them going in type songs. Like how Lil Wayne had ‘A Milli.’ One of those Young Money records that people love. We got a crazy visual for that one, too.” In addition, the “Rack City” rapper says Nas contributed guest verses on a record called “King And Queens,” which he says is “a real classic song. JENNIFER HUDSON’S FAMILY MURDERS TRIAL WILL BE ON TV?

We previously told you that a trial date has been set for the murder case of Jennifer Hudson’s three family members. According to CBS Chicago, the forthcoming trial might allow cameras and microphones in courtrooms. This means the entire case against William Balfour could be televised due to new provisions decided by the Illinois Supreme Court. We will keep you updated.

- Balfour pled not guilty to the murders of Hudson’s mother, brother and nephew back in October of 2008.

JUSTIN BIEBER CAUSES SPIKE IN CANADIAN ORGAN DONORS

Justin Bieber caused a spike in Canadian donor registrations. According to The Hollywood Reporter, it all started when 20-year-old Helene Campbell made a personal plea via Twitter to raise the number of organ donors as she awaits a lung transplant in Toronto. Bieber responded to Campbell’s request by retweeting her plea to his 16-million followers. By Sunday, the Trillium Gift of Life Network’s BeADonor.ca website reported 565 new donors. A post then appeared on the life-saving organization’s Facebook page that reads, “Thanks to Helene, her team, and all the Bielibers out there!” Now there are over one-thousand new donors listed on the site.

We are happy to announce the arrival of our beautiful daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, born on Saturday, January 7, 2012.

JAY-Z WRITES SONG FOR DAUGHTER

According to RapRadar.com, Jay-Z wasted no time to record a song that captured his feelings toward his newborn, Blue Ivy Carter. The proud father released a song called “Glory,” which was produced by Pharrell Williams. On the record, Hov chronicles how the baby was conceived in Paris just before Beyonce shot her album packaging for her latest effort, 4. TYGA SPILLS ON NEXT ALBUM

During an interview with ThisIs50.com, Tyga gave new details on his next studio album. The rapper said of the disc, “It’s a theme album so it’s the first installment of the story. It’s about me becoming a king in this place called Careless World. It’s just a story from beginning to end.” The “Rack City” rapper added that the project will show “a lot of growth in the music and a lot of maturity.” We’ll keep you posted on the release date for Careless World.

TYGA ARRESTED IN VEGAS!

Young Money’s “Rack City” rapper Tyga has been racking up some driving violations that landed him in trouble over the weekend.

According to TMZ, the 22-year-old artist was arrested in Las Vegas after a routine stop for a traffic violation turned into the discovery of a warrant out for his arrest due to four other traffic-related incidents.

Previous charges include driving without a license, registration violation and unlawful acts of financial responsibility.

Tyga, real name Michael Stevenson, was taken to Clark County Detention Center and released the following day.

Stevenson was in Vegas for a tour show in support of his upcoming album Careless World: the Rise of the Last King, expected in stores January 24.

Tyga has yet to make a formal statement on the arrest.

NICKI MINAJ AWARDED FOR PINK FRIDAY SALES

Nicki Minaj has proven that she’s a force to be reckoned with. Because Nicki sold over two-million copies of her debut album, Pink Friday, Birdman rewarded the fem-cee with a lavish gift – a diamond encrusted luxurious watch. After receiving it, Nicki turned to Baby and said, “Why are you so amazing and epic?” then joked, “How many watches are you going to get me? This is too rich for me. 50 CENT APOLOGIZES TO RECORD LABEL

50 Cent has decided to apologize for his recent Twitter rant aimed against his record label. After learning that one of his new songs was leaked, the mogul accused someone from the label of intentionally putting out his material. He wrote, “Discovered a computer glitch leaked my song. Sorry to team at Interscope for overreacting! I put a lot in to this project but I don’t care if it ever comes out. Jimmy Iovine has been like a mentor for me. I just want to stay friends.” No word yet on when the follow-up to 2009’s Before I Self Destruct will arrive.

AMBER ROSE RELEASES “FAME” ft. WIZ KHALIFA

Earlier this year, Amber Rose announced that she was in the studio every day, working on new music and now we get a chance to see what she’s been cooking up.

Her debut single, ‘Fame’ dropped this morning and with a little studio magic, Amber gives her first-hand account of the ups and the downs of the glamorous life. In the new joint, she sings over a pop tune while expressing that even though people think it’s easy to be her, they have no clue. Being flown in private jets and constantly being photographed while out shopping for exclusive bags sounds like a dream to most girls but Amber paints a different picture:

NE-YO JOINS CEE-LO’S TEAM ON THE VOICE

According to SingersRoom.com, Ne-Yo has reportedly signed on to appear on NBC’s The Voice. The crooner will join Babyface and serve as an advisor for Cee-Lo Green’s team. Ne-Yo said in a statement, “It’s about the talent. Before there was music videos; before there was the internet and all of that stuff; all you had was the voice — that was it.” The Voice premieres on February 5th.

RIHANNA SAYS “THERE’S NOBODY IN MY LEAGUE”

People are always comparing Beyonce and Rihanna. During an interview with Look magazine, the latter finally addressed the ongoing topic. Ri Ri stated, “There’s nobody really in my league.” She added, “But there’s competition everywhere. The whole music industry is competition. There are people who like other artists, those who like me and others who like both.” The singer, who was just named the highest selling digital artist, went on to say, “Beyonce is a great artist and I feel honored to be mentioned in the same sentence, but we’re different performers with different styles.”

Just days after debuting his new Jesus tattoo, Justin Bieber is opening up about his views on God and religion in the new issue of V magazine. Beiber said, “A lot of people who are religious, I think they get lost. They go to church just to go to church. I’m not trying to disrespect them, but for me, I focus more on praying and talking to Him.” The 17-year-old singer, who is on the cover of the magazine, adds that he doesn’t have to go to church to talk to the lord. The issue hits newsstands on January 12th.

According to Billboard.com, T.I. credits Eminem with helping him overcome his drug addiction. The rapper failed to admit his drug of choice but did reveal that his addiction began after he received medication for oral surgery. Tip stated, “I haven’t had a chance to speak to Em since I’ve been home,” He said. “I heard that while I was down, he was trying to get in contact with me, but I don’t know if the dots just didn’t connect. [Eminem] overcoming his own adversities, winning the battle against his own demons and continuing to break the mold and re-set the standard of what it means to be the most successful hip-hop artist in the game … I salute that to no end.”

USHER AND EX WIFE FIGHT OVER CUSTODY 

Things between Usher and his ex-wife, Tameka Raymond, are not looking good. The mother of his two kids claims the crooner has failed to follow his legal obligations, when it comes to sharing joint custody of their sons. TMZ reports Tameka has filed documents requesting that a judge no longer allow Usher to have joint physical custody. In addition, she is seeking more money for child suppor,t since there’s allegedly been a “substantial change in [Usher's] income” since they got divorced. We’ll keep you posted.

 MARY J BLIGE TALKS BEYONCE DUET

During an interview with Billboard.com, Mary J. Blige spoke about her first time collaborating with Beyonce for her latest album, My Life II … The Journey Continues (Act I). On a record called “Love A Woman,” MJB explained how the duet came together. Since the track was originally recorded for Beyonce’s recent album, Mary explained, “She had her A&R people play the record for us. I’m sitting in the back thinking, ‘Is she really going to give me this record? That’s crazy! It’s amazing,’” Blige recalled. “I asked her A&R person and he said, ‘Yes, she wants you to have the record, but she wants to stay on it with you.’ I loved that idea and I’m thankful. LIL WAYNE DONTATES TURKEYS

Lil Wayne has given back to his hometown of New Orleans by handing out free turkeys to people in old neighborhood. With Thanksgiving right around the corner, the timing couldn’t be better. Even though it’s an annual Cash Money tradition, Weezy told MTV News, “It’s actually been my first time back here for the past eight or nine years, and they’ve been doing this for 15 years.” Luckily Wayne found time in his schedule to personally hand out turkeys and says, “Now it’s a totally different feeling, because I can actually give you that and say, ‘Here, happy Thanksgiving.’ I can do that, and I can provide that for you.” Head over to MTV.com for more.

HOW WILL.I.AM GOT MICK JAGGER TO RECORD WITH HIM 

Will.i.am explained to Rolling Stone backstage at the American Music Awards how he recently got Mick Jagger to work with him. The Rolling Stones frontman is featured on the track “T.H.E. (The Hardest Ever)” off will’s album #willpower. Will says, “You play your music and the first thing someone says, ‘Who’s gonna be on it? So I think of the hardest thing ever. And it happened, Mick Jagger.” The Black Eyed Peas man explained that Interscope chairman Jimmy Iovine, who always wanted to work with Jagger, made the collaboration happen, and even decided to produce the track. #willpower is out next year.

 

NEW PERFORMERS ADDED TO VH1 DIVAS

 

We’ve just learned that Chaka Khan, Erykah Badu, Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, Boyz II Men, Estelle, Marsha Ambrosius and Travie McCoy have all been added to the list of performers who’ll take the stage at the upcoming show, VH1 Divas Celebrates Soul. The new acts will join previously confirmed headlining divas including Mary J. Blige, Kelly Clarkson, Florence + The Machine, Jennifer Hudson, Jessie J. and Jill Scott. Taking place inside New York City’s Hammerstein Ballroom, VH1 Divas Celebrates Soul premieres on Monday, December 19th at 9 PM on VH1.

 

· The new group of performers will pay tribute to cities of soul music including Chicago, Detroit, London, Memphis and Philadelphia.

DRAKE BEGINS THIRD STUDIO ALBUM

According to HipHopDX.com, Drake has reportedly begun recording the follow-up to his sophomore effort, Take Care. Even though his latest disc was released a week ago, Drizzy revealed, “I started writing the intro to my project last night.” He added, “I found the sample and I started piecing together the story of where I’m at in my life.” The news comes after first week projections put Take Care at number one on the Billboard 200 chart with estimated sales of over 700-thousand copies.

T.I. ANNOUNCES ALBUM TITLE

According to Billboard.com, T.I. has announced that his next studio album will be titled Trouble Man. In addition, the follow-up to last year’s No Mercy will have a party theme and the first single is called “Pyro.” Tip said of the disc, “A lot of times I’m taking myself out of my element.” He added, “This is the first project where I’m talking about things that I’ve experienced before that I’m not necessarily experiencing now because I’m not doing a whole lot of partying. I do a little bit but not a lot… nothing like when I was in that life.” No word on when we’ll hear the first track, we’ll keep you posted.

KELLY ROWLAND TO REUNITE WITH HER FATHER

According to U-K’s The Sun, Kelly Rowland has revealed plans to reunite with her estranged father, Christopher Rowland, next month. The former Destiny’s Child singer is going to meet up with her dad on Christmas day and explained, “It’s really important just to forgive my father… because tomorrow is not promised to us.” She added, “It’s important to forgive people and we move on, we have to…the pain is there, of course it will be there, and it’s important to know that forgiveness is the first step towards healing.” As previously reported, Kelly’s dad walked out of her life 20 years ago.

RIHANNA CAUSES STIR OVERSEAS

Rihanna accepted the American Music Award for Favorite R&B/Soul Album for Loud from the U-K on Sunday night. She is on tour overseas and recently caused some controversy when performing on The X Factor in England. For her performance, she wore a plaid dress and clunky punk shoes with writing scrawled all over them, and one phrase on the footwear had some people up in arms. According to The Telegraph, the words “F*** Off” were written on RiRi’s shoes. While the offensive statement may have left audiences a bit shocked, a spokesperson for the show played down the controversy. They showed no close ups of her shoes on the telecast. In other Rihanna news, her video for “We Found Love” has been banned from being played before 10 PM in France. The officials at the Supreme Audiovisual Council of France have deemed the video, which includes drug use, sex and domestic violence, inappropriate for viewing before that hour. Rihanna released her Talk That Talk album on Monday.

JUSTIN BIEBER AND JADEN SMITH RELEASE NEW COLLABO

According to the New York Post, Justin Bieber and Jaden Smith have released a new duet, a cover of “Thinking About You” by Frank Ocean. Smith raps on the track while Bieber lends his vocals to the R&B tune. Bieber and Smith released their first musical collaboration, “Never Say Never,” in 2010. It was the theme song for The Karate Kid remake, starring Smith.

FAT JOE COMMENTS ON CLOSETED GAYS IN RAP

The issue of homosexual rappers and hip hop continues as Fat Joe recently spoke up on how he feels about it. During an interview with Vlad TV, Joey Crack stated, “I’m pretty sure I’ve done songs with gay rappers.” He feels “there’s millions of gay people in the world” and you should embrace it not hide it. In addition, he believes there is a gay mafia running hip hop and explained, “Not rappers, editorial presidents of magazines, PDs at radio stations, people that give you awards at award shows. This is a gay mafia, my man. They are in power.” He concluded his rant by saying it’s about to be 2012 and you should “rep your set” if you prefer the same-sex.

According to AllHipHop.com, 50 Cent’s acting resume will now include his first TV role in a show called The Finder. For his one-episode appearance, Curtis will portray “Big Glade,” a hip hop mogul attempting to recover missing material from a deceased rapper. His show will air sometime in January.

DRAKE EXPLAINS TAKE CARE TITLE

During an interview with GQ, Drake broke down the significance of his album title, Take Care. The “Headlines” rapper was surprised that nobody asked him that yet and replied, “I came up with the name when I was on a bus in Birmingham, England, going to a show. Take Care is this thing we use in passing conversation to dismiss bullsh** like, ‘Oh, you couldn’t make it on time? Oh, take care, take care.’” Drizzy added, “We’ve always used that and then I really took so much care making this album. I knew I was going to go home and take longer than six months, I knew that I was literally going to take care of making this project and be attentive, be clear, be immersed in it. YOUNG JEEZY WANTS TO MAKE JOINT LP WITH T.I. 

According to XXLMag.com, if Young Jeezy has his way, the next joint album fans should look out for would include himself alongside T.I. The rapper said of The King of The South. “I been on him [to make the LP]. We got a record for his album, it’s crazy. A monster!” The pair has recorded together on numerous tracks, including their newest offering, “F.A.M.E.” No word on when or if Tip is willing to do the joint LP but we’ll keep you posted.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Rihanna’s new album, Talk That Talk, has broken the iTunes top 10 more than a week before its scheduled debut. Late last week, the 23-year-old’s forthcoming sixth studio album had reached number nine on the iTunes album chart after the pop star unveiled track teasers from all 11 songs on the album. Talk That Talk will be released on November 21st.

They seem like completely different artists, but rapper Tyler the Creator says he’s a fan of Justin Bieber. Tyler spoke to MTV News about their connection saying, “I met Justin back in February. He’s a cool kid and s**t. When I got in there, he was talkin’ about the ‘Yonkers’ video and s**t. It was weird because I was sitting here starstruck, like, ‘Oh f**k, it’s Bieber. DRAKE AND FLORENCE STILL WANNA COLLABORATE

Rapper Drake has proven that he has some diverse tastes when it comes to music, and even has expressed interest in collaborating with British indie act Florence and the Machine. Singer Florence Welch told MTV News that the pair is yet to get into the studio, saying, “We haven’t actually done any recording together. Whenever I see Drake, we always just end up kind of hanging out, which is equally fun, but no, we haven’t done anything yet.” She went on to note that she is also a fan of Drizzy, “I think we’re both fans of each other’s work. CONTROVERSIAL RIHANNA VIDEO ABOUT UNHEALTHY DEPENDENCIES

Rihanna’s video for “We Found Love,” which features drug use and domestic violence, created a lot of controversy last week when it debuted. MTV sat down with the clip’s director, Melina Matsoukas, who says the video is about the warning signs of unhealthy dependencies. Melina explained, “It’s really about it being toxic, and they’re on this drug trip and that definitely plays a part, but I think it’s also about being triumphant over those weaknesses, and she leaves him. The bad parts of it, that’s what you don’t want.”

T.I. SHOOTS “FLEXIN” VIDEO IN ATLANTA

According to Bilboard.com, Rihanna’s newest single, “We Found Love,” has helped the singer break a record held by Madonna. Ri Ri now holds the record for having 20 Billboard Hot 100 top 10 singles in the shortest amount of time. While it took the “Material Girl” six years and nine months to score 20 hit songs, it only took Rihanna six years and four months to accomplish the feat. PRESIDENT OBAMA “INTIMIDATED” BY LADY GAGA

Barack Obama may be the leader of the free world, but even he gets a little intimidated when meeting Lady Gaga. The President of the United States admitted as much this past weekend, when, during his address at the annual Human Rights Campaign gala in Washington, D.C., he joked that meeting Lady Gaga was “intimidating.” According to ABC News, Obama said, “She was wearing 16-inch heels. She was 8 feet tall. It was a little intimidating.” Gaga and Obama met late last month at a Silicon Valley fundraiser held at the home of Facebook Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg. Gaga used the opportunity to make good on a Twitter vow she’d posted in reaction to the suicide of bullied teen Jamey Rodemeyer, asking the president what his administration planned on doing to stop bullying. At the Human Rights gala, Obama joked with the crowd, which included gay and lesbian advocates, saying, “I held some productive bilateral talks with your leader.” The remark reportedly drew laughter and applause.

CONRAD MURRAY TRAIL UPDATE:

On Wednesday, the jury at the involuntary manslaughter trial of Michael Jackson’s personal physician Conrad Murray heard first hand from the former pop star. In one of the most anticipated days of the trial, personal conversations between Murray and Jackson, recorded on Murray’s phone, were played for the court. In the recording, Jackson talks to Murray about his grand plans for the This Is It shows, including raising enough money to start the Michael Jackson Children’s Hospital. He said in the recordings, “I love them because I didn’t have a childhood. I had no childhood. I feel their pain. I feel their hurt.” When Jackson goes silent for 13 seconds, Murray asks, “Are you OK?” Jackson’s response: “I am asleep.” Murray has pleaded not guilty to the charge of involuntary manslaughter.

NE-YO EXPECTING BABY BOY

According to Uptown Magazine, Ne-Yo has revealed the sex of his second child with longtime girlfriend, Monyetta Shaw. The crooner announced that he’s having his first son, who will join his 10-month-old daughter, Madilyn. The singer told the mag, “I’ve always prided myself on being able to make music that everybody can listen to and that’s not gonna change. That’s just reinforced now that I have a little girl and a little boy on the way. Yeah, I’m doing the same thing I’ve been doing.”

T.I. BACK IN FEDERAL CUSTODY

After only a day in the semi-real world following months in prison, T.I. is already back in federal custody because of an issue involving his trip from the Arkansas prison to his Atlanta halfway house on a luxury bus on Wednesday, according to T.I.’s lawyer, Steve Sadow.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons confirms to TMZ that the rapper checked into a federal penitentiary in Atlanta last night, because he allegedly misled prison officials into thinking he’d take a low-key mode of transportation from the prison to the halfway house — and a tricked out tour bus isn’t low-key.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ — when a prisoner is incarcerated in a low or medium security prison … prison officials can allow the inmate to use a private, unescorted mode of transportation to travel from the prison facility to the halfway house.

During the process of approving such a transfer, the prisoner must state specifically what mode of transportation he or she will be using. Our sources tell us … T.I. informed prison officials he would be taking some sort of van, but made no mention of the high-end, pimped out tour bus.

We’re told prison officials felt T.I. should have fully disclosed the nature of his party bus. Neither drugs nor alcohol were found on the bus.

T.I.’s wife tells TMZ … multiple prison officials actually saw the tour bus that picked up the rapper yesterday — and even took photos with T.I. in front of it — and NOBODY raised an issue.

Tameka “Tiny” Cottle tells us … when the tour bus rolled up to the Arkansas prison yesterday, prison officials “Walked him over, took pics and told him good luck in life.”

Law enforcement sources also told TMZ when the U.S. Marshals arrived at the halfway house to take T.I. back to prison, the halfway house honcho actually got into an argument with them, saying it was ridiculous to send him back for such an alleged violation. But the Marshals had their orders, and took T.I. back to the pokey.

Sadow tells TMZ, “We are awaiting the opportunity to quickly resolve whatever the issue may be that the Federal Bureau of Prisons has with T.I.’s method of transportation, bus, from Arkansas to Atlanta, so that T.I. can return to the halfway house to complete the remaining days of his sentence.”

T.I. was sentenced in October to 11 months in prison for violating his probation, but was let out early. He was to complete the rest of his sentence in the halfway house.

WHAT’S THE FIRST THING T.I. DID POST-PRISON?

Wanna know what T.I. did after he was released from prison? Well, according to TMZ, the rapper was treated to a home cooked meal prepared by his mother and his Aunt Lita. Since Tip must remain in a halfway house until his sentence is complete, his family brought over a hot plate of food – which included steak, collard greens and mac ‘n cheese. His auntie told the site that he was grateful for the “amazing” meal and revealed that he’s currently “in good spirits.” We can only imagine what his wife, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, brought over.

We previously reported that T.I. was looking to publish his first book, but we had no idea that the project would hit stores next month! According to the AP, the rapper’s upcoming novel, titled Power & Beauty, is a “fictional tale about two childhood friends torn apart by dangerous dealings on the streets of Atlanta.” The book will be available sometime in October via Harper Collins.

KANYE TO BE JAY-Z’S CHILD’S GODFATHER?

Like Nicki Minaj, Kanye West is hoping to become a godparent to Jay-Z and Beyonce’s baby. According to MTV’s Buzzworthy, there are whispers that Yeezy just might become the godfather to the power couple’s unborn child. Though it’s not confirmed, we speculate that ‘Ye is probably on a short list that includes Bey’s sister, Solange, the couple’s favorite couple, Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, as well as her former Destiny’s Child bandmate, Kelly Rowland and Hova’s partner in crime, Memphis Bleek.

BEYONCE TURNS 30 THIS WEEKEND!

It’s a great time for Beyonce. Not only has the Houston native released her fourth number one album and announced that she’s expecting her first child with Jay-Z, but the former Destiny’s Child singer is also tuning 30 years old on Sunday. While it’s unknown where the notoriously private entertainer will celebrate this year, we wish her a happy birthday with many more to come.

LIL WAYNE FAN JUMPS ON STAGE

Some people just can’t control themselves. This seemed to be the case for an unidentified Lil Wayne fan that jumped on stage with the mogul at one of his I Am Still Music tour stops. At the very end of his set, an unnamed male concertgoer shared the stage with Weezy for a total of four seconds before being tackled by a security guard at the Denver Comfort Dental amphitheater. Following his soaring performance at Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards, the song Chris Brown showcased has received a massive sales increase. His single, “Beautiful People,” is up 904-percent while “Yeah 3X” rose 149-percent shortly after the VMA’s aired. In addition, Pitbull’s “Give Me Everything” featuring Ne-Yo experienced a 75-percent sales growth on the iTunes singles chart as well. TMZ reports Chris Brown would love to give a handsome reward to the unnamed female fan who returned his 22-thousand dollar Rolex. Since the unidentified woman did not give her name, Brown’s rep is hoping she will contact his camp to receive personal thanks from the singer as well as backstage passes to his upcoming tour. TYLER MEETS EMINEM IN IRELAND

It’s been a great week for Tyler, the Creator. Not only did the Odd Future ringleader take home Best New Artist at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, but he finally met and hung out with Eminem for the first time. The rap rookie ran into Slim Shady at the Tennent’s ViTal music festival in Ireland and posted a picture of them on his Twitter page. Tyler wrote, “F**kkkkk O My Atheist God. Goal List Check: I Told Him Relapse Was One Of The Greatest Albums To Me.”

According to MTV, Drake was impressed with Justin Bieber’s recent remix of “Trust Issues.” However, if Drizzy had it his way, he would have liked the pop sensation to include all the curse words that were on the original. Drake stated, “I wish he would’ve left all the cuss words in it. I feel like that would’ve been so G, if he would’ve done all the swearing. I was excited when I heard he remixed it, because there was like a gang of swearing in that song. I was like, ‘Oh, we’re about to hear the transformation of Bieber.”

SWIZZ BEATZ TALKS LIFE WITH ALICIA KEYS

During an interview with Uptown magazine, Swizz Beatz touched on what life is like with his second wife, Alicia Keys. The hitmaker shared that the first thing he does in the morning is “open the curtains and I’m thankful for another day. If my wife is next to me, it’s an instant hug and kiss. Get up, brush the teeth, do this, do that, and then it’s showtime!” He added that the one thing he’s learned from Alicia is “love.”

CHRISTINA MILIAN TALKS NEW ALBUM 

According to Rap-Up.com, Christina Milian is speaking up about the status of her long awaited album. While the disc is no longer titled Elope, the singer stated, “I think I found my sound for this one,” The Dream’s ex-wife added, “It’s an entirely new album. I’ve gone through a lot since then, so it’s definitely a little more honest. It’s based on just living life and there’s more to talk about now. But it’s urban, it’s pop, it’s sexy, it’s fierce, and independent. It’s awesome.” The upcoming effort will be released via Interscope Records.

WEST COAST GREATS PASS THE TORCH TO KENDRICK LAMAR 

(AllHipHop News) After performing his hit song “Michael Jordan,” Compton rapper Kendrick Lamar was given the ultimate co-sign from the best of the best from the West Coast Hip-Hop community.

Snoop Dogg came out to perform his hit song, “Snoop Dogg” accompanied by Kurupt and Game.

“Aye n***a, you going bodyguard hard right now. Look I’m sitting up there with Dr. Dre up top,” Snoop said as he pointed to Dr. Dre in the crowd “and we watching Game pass the torch to you and you great at what you do man, not good at what you do, you great at what you do. I’ma say this, you got the torch my n***ga.”

Shortly afterwards, an emotional Kendrick Lamar was surrounded and embraced by the TDE family, Game, Snoop and Kurupt.

Game took the mic to explain to the fans the importance of Kendrick Lamar’s ascendance in the rap game.

Silencing the crowd’s cheer, Game took the microphone and had this to say.

“For yall mothaf**kas who aint here and for all you that got your camera phones that don’t understand, yall need to realize this is the motha f**kin ni**a,” Game shouted out to the crowd. “This is the motha f**kin west coast, and the torch has been passed! Aint no hate in Dr. Dre’s blood, he passed the torch to Snoop, Snoop passed it to Game, Pac restin in peace, so is Eazy, Jay Rock doin his damn this, Glasses, Nipsey. I hate when people say the West aint poppin. I told you it was coming.”

Mitch Winehouse’s dream to establish a charity called the Amy Winehouse Foundation to honor his late daughter has hit a potential snag. Mitch told the BBC that someone actually registered the name before he could, and that he’s constantly receiving donations for the charity, but doesn’t “know what to do with them.” Winehouse says that the foundation plans to “help all children – not just rehabilitation, not just substance abuse. It’s to help all children in need.”

MTV.com has just announced that Pitbull has joined the official line up of performers at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards. In addition, Jessie J will serve as the night’s house artist. VMA FACTS

The Video Music Awards have been held in New York City, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Miami.

The 2004 VMA show in Miami marked the first time in the 21-year history of the awards show that the VMAs were not held in New York City or in Los Angeles.

Madonna has performed at seven VMAs, four of which she has opened. This makes her the only artist to perform at the VMAs in the ‘80s, ‘90s and ‘00s.

Before U2’s live set in 2001, the Metropolitan Opera House lost power and delayed their performance.

Afeni Shakur (Tupac Shakur’s mother) and Voletta Wallace (Notorious B.I.G.’s mother) met for the first time at the Video Music Awards in 1999, when the two co-presented the award for Best Rap Video.
