FAT JOE COMMENTS ON CLOSETED GAYS IN RAP

The issue of homosexual rappers and hip hop continues as Fat Joe recently spoke up on how he feels about it. During an interview with Vlad TV, Joey Crack stated, “I’m pretty sure I’ve done songs with gay rappers.” He feels “there’s millions of gay people in the world” and you should embrace it not hide it. In addition, he believes there is a gay mafia running hip hop and explained, “Not rappers, editorial presidents of magazines, PDs at radio stations, people that give you awards at award shows. This is a gay mafia, my man. They are in power.” He concluded his rant by saying it’s about to be 2012 and you should “rep your set” if you prefer the same-sex.

MARY J BLIGE TO PERFORM LIVE ONLINE CONCERT

To celebrate the release of her highly anticipated album, My Life II, Mary J Blige has decided to showcase her talents through a live online concert. Taking place at Club Nokia in Los Angeles on Thursday, the show will be streamed at 11 PM Eastern. You can expect MJB to perform classic songs as well as new cuts from My Life II… The Journey Continues (Act I), which is due November 21st. 50 CENT LANDS TV ROLE

According to AllHipHop.com, 50 Cent’s acting resume will now include his first TV role in a show called The Finder. For his one-episode appearance, Curtis will portray “Big Glade,” a hip hop mogul attempting to recover missing material from a deceased rapper. His show will air sometime in January.

DRAKE EXPLAINS TAKE CARE TITLE

During an interview with GQ, Drake broke down the significance of his album title, Take Care. The “Headlines” rapper was surprised that nobody asked him that yet and replied, “I came up with the name when I was on a bus in Birmingham, England, going to a show. Take Care is this thing we use in passing conversation to dismiss bullsh** like, ‘Oh, you couldn’t make it on time? Oh, take care, take care.’” Drizzy added, “We’ve always used that and then I really took so much care making this album. I knew I was going to go home and take longer than six months, I knew that I was literally going to take care of making this project and be attentive, be clear, be immersed in it. YOUNG JEEZY WANTS TO MAKE JOINT LP WITH T.I. 

According to XXLMag.com, if Young Jeezy has his way, the next joint album fans should look out for would include himself alongside T.I. The rapper said of The King of The South. “I been on him [to make the LP]. We got a record for his album, it’s crazy. A monster!” The pair has recorded together on numerous tracks, including their newest offering, “F.A.M.E.” No word on when or if Tip is willing to do the joint LP but we’ll keep you posted.

MONICA CLEARS UP PREGNANCY RUMORS

To put an end to all the whispers that Monica is pregnant with her first child with husband Shannon Brown, the singer addressed the rumors with GlobalGrind.com. While at the ASCAP Rhythm & Soul 3rd Annual Women Behind the Music event, she explained that she is not preggers but would “absolutely” love to carry Brown’s child. She added, “I’m young, he’s young and we want to have that between the two of us, but right now we are enjoying the three that we have blended together.” In related news, Monica is looking forward to releasing her upcoming album, New Life, on February 21st, 2012.

JAY-Z LAUNCHING OCCUPY WALL STREET T-SHIRTS

Jay-Z is looking to capitalize on the Occupy Wall Street movement by releasing an exclusive T-Shirt line through Rocawear that reads “Occupy All Streets.” So will Hov make a direct profit from the protests? A spokeswoman for the Rocawear brand told Gawker, “‘Occupy All Streets’ is our way of reminding people that there is change to be made everywhere, not just on Wall Street. CEE-LO, JUSTIN BIEBER TO LEAD NBC’S CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING

Justin Bieber, Tony Bennett and Cee Lo Green will be among the stars at the 79th annual Christmas Tree Lighting at Rockefeller Center. Michael Buble, Faith Hill and American Idol runner-up Katharine McPhee will also take the stage at the November 30th celebration to light the tree.

· This year, there is a 74-foot Norway Spruce from Mifflinville, Pennsylvania set up in Rockefeller Center in New York City for the holidays.

RIHANNA’S NEW ALBUM ON ITUNES CHART!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Rihanna’s new album, Talk That Talk, has broken the iTunes top 10 more than a week before its scheduled debut. Late last week, the 23-year-old’s forthcoming sixth studio album had reached number nine on the iTunes album chart after the pop star unveiled track teasers from all 11 songs on the album. Talk That Talk will be released on November 21st.

· The album’s first single, “We Found Love” featuring Calvin Harris, earned Rihanna her 11th chart-topping single on the Billboard Hot 100.

Pop singer Rihanna has had many a hit song, and an upcoming one features Metallica. It’s called “Red Lipstick” and includes samples from the legendary metal group’s track “Wherever I May Roam” off the black album. “Red Lipstick” is on Rihanna’s latest record, Talk That Talk, which is out on November 21st.

· In 2009, Metallica’s 1991 self-titled record, known as the black album, became the best-selling CD of the SoundScan era having sold 15.7-million copies to date.

NICKI MINAJ AND DAVID GUETTA TO PERFORM AT THE AMAS

Nicki Minaj and David Guetta will kick off the American Music Awards on November 20th. The two, who scored a hit with “Where Them Girls At?” earlier this year, will take the stage at the top of the show. The event also boasts performances from Katy Perry, LMFAO, Justin Bieber, Kelly Clarkson, Mary J. Blige, Chris Brown, Christina Aguilera, Pitbull and Maroon 5. According to Star magazine, Nicki Minaj allegedly lashed out at her facialist inside at Dawn DaLuise Skin Refinery in Los Angeles. The fem-cee is said to have verbally assaulted the owner, Dawn DaLuise, who says Nicki screamed at her, “Who the f**k do you think you are? Look what you did to my damn face! You think this s**t is worth 170 dollars?” DeLuise tells the mag, “It’s a shame when you see a darling girl turn into a temperamental diva.” Nicki has yet to comment on the incident.

WIZ KHALIFA KICKS OFF ROLLING PAPERS TOUR

After performing during the 2011 Bonnaroo Festival, Wiz Khalifa has officially kicked off his Rolling Papers tour. Fans can expect the trek to hit major cities including Las Vegas, Houston and Orlando before wrapping on August 5th in Pontiac, Michigan. Wiz is performing tonight (6/13) at the Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.

MANCHESTER, Tennessee – Wiz Khalifa’s Saturday evening set at theBonnaroo Music and Arts Festival was, by his own admission, probably the biggest show he’s played since bursting onto the scene last year. And feeding upon the vibes of the crowd, he delivered a set that was as loose and lively as it was hit-packed and hungry.

“I was feeling the energy the whole time, and I’ve been doing a lot of shows and growing as a performer and an artist, so I just wanted to build on all that,” he told MTV News following the performance. “Being a top act on such a huge stage in front of so many people, it’s a great starting point for my career, because a lot of people work their whole careers and then get here.”

Of course, though he was still basking in the afterglow of his Bonnaroo set, Wiz also felt the need to address an issue that (supposedly) occurred atanother of his big-stage shows: rumors of a backstage altercation with Waka Flocka Flame at Hot 97′s Summer Jam in New York earlier this month.

“Yeah, nothing happened backstage,” Khalifa said. “It’s always something; making up some rumor about something happening with me backstage during somebody’s set, but nothing happened. Me and Waka and are cool. That’s just people trying to promote negativity.”

And to hear Wiz tell it, there’s been a whole lot of that negativity going on in recent months. But, as he continues on the upswing of his young career, he’s not going to let any of it get him down. After all, there will be plenty more shows like Bonnaroo on the horizon, and he prefers to focus on that.

“There’s just so much fake sh– going on. Like, people will buy into what’s fake. According to people, this isn’t my Rolex, you know?” he said. “But that’s just what mugs like to think and what they like to talk about, but the reality of the situation is everything’s under control. And this is my Rolex. That I bought.”

YELAWOLF ANNOUNCES RELEASE DATE

According to his official fansite, Yelawolf’s upcoming album, Radioactive, will be released sooner than you think. The rapper’s debut effort on Eminem’s Shady Records is slated to arrive on September 27th.

· Yela told TheHipHopChronicle.com that his album title was inspired by a song that was recorded with Big Boi.

KELLY ROWLAND GETS A LAUNCH DATE

Lead by her Lil Wayne-assisted single, “Motivation,” Kelly Rowland recently announced the launch date for her highly anticipated album, Here I Am. The singer, who was originally eyeing a September release, has decided to drop her third studio effort on July 26th.

· The album features contributions from Rico Love, Tricky Stewart, Dr. Luke, Stargate, Salaam Remi, Jim Jonsin, RedOne, and Ester Dean.

· Her release date is almost a month after Beyonce’s 4 arrives on June 28th.

FAT JOE DROPS NEARLY 90 POUNDS

If you’ve caught a glimpse of Fat Joe recently, you’d notice that the rapper lost an impressive amount of weight. According to the NY Daily News, Joe Crack actually dropped 88 pounds and did so by exercising and eating six small meals every day. He told the site that he was inspired by his family and explained, “I can’t leave my daughter behind noted. I want to be here for her; I don’t want to die on her.”

· Since his close friend, Big Pun, passed away due to complications with his weight, are you surprised Joe didn’t take his health more serious sooner?

· Big Pun died of a heart attack at age 28.

RIHANNA LISTED ON FORBE’S TOP PAID UNDER 30

According to Forbes, Rihanna has landed at number ten on the Top Earners Under 30 list. If you combine the profits from tours, album sales and endorsements, the entertainer reportedly banked 29-million dollars between May 2010 and May 2011.

SUGE KNIGHT TO DO PETA

According to XXLMag.com, Suge Knight has agreed to be a part of a new PETA campaign. The former Death Row Records CEO will be features in several ads about anti-dog chaining. Suge said in a statement, “Dogs deserve our love and attention not a life of ‘solitary confinement’ at the end of a chain. Dogs depend on us to take care of them, to keep them safe and healthy. Chaining a dog is one of the cruelest things you can to do them – they are social animals.”

EMINEM GOES DOUBLE PLATINUM!

It didn’t take long for Eminem’s critically acclaimed Recovery album to
achieve double platinum status. In fact, Slim Shady’s disc, which includes
“Not Afraid” and “The Way You Lie” featuring Rihanna, sold well over
two-million copies in only two weeks. According to Nielsen SoundScan, Em
managed to sell an additional 132-thousand copies last week, which pushed
his grand total to 2.1-mil.

B.O.B EXCITED TO PERFORM AT THE 2010 MTV VMAs!

With his smash hit single “Nothing On You” featuring Bruno Mars and the
equally explosive follow-up “Airplanes” with Paramore’s Hayley Williams,
B.o.B deserves all the nominations he’s received for the 2010 MTV Video
Music Awards. The Grand Hustle artist is expected to perform during the big
show and he’s able to keep his cool by looking at his success in a very
humble way. B.o.B will take stage on Sunday, September 12th at 9 PM.

UPDATE ON RIHANNA’S NEXT ALBUM

Producer Alex Da Kid told JustJared.com that fans can expect Rihanna’s next
album to be “strong, fun, and sassy.” The hit-maker has already contributed
to Ri Ri’s follow-up to Rated R and added the disc has “a mixture of her two
sides. It’s commercial, but at the same time it’s got an edge to it-it has
substance.” In addition, people from the singer’s label are looking to
create a song that will have similar success to her duet on Eminem’s “Love
the Way You Lie” single.

KERI DROPS FIRST SINGLE OFF NO BOYS ALLOWED

After the success of her In A Perfect World debut, the pressure is on for
Keri Hilson. We caught up with the “Knock You Down” singer to find out the
status and direction of her sophomore album.

“I feel like this album honed in on what makes Keri special and
indifferent, and I think that it’s even more a lane for me, which is what I
wanted to accomplish for people to understand. It’s great, the comparison to
great people is awesome but this is who I am. So, I got to dive more into
that.”

According to an official press release, Miss Keri’s new album is titled No
Boys Allowed. The first single was produced by Timbaland and it’s called
“Breaking Point.”

METHOD MAN TO PRESS CHARGES?

According to TMZ, Method Man is looking to sue for being injured during his
performance at the Insane Clown Posse’s Gathering of Juggalos festival this
past weekend. An unidentified concertgoer threw a beer bottler at Meth,
which caused a laceration under his left eye. The rapper intends to file a
lawsuit because he doesn’t “condone throwing things at the talent while
they’re performing. It takes a lot of heart and balls to continue performing

RAEKWON TALKS POSSIBLE KANYE, BIEBER SONG

We recently reported Kanye West tweeted about wanting to collaborate with
Raekwon and Justin Bieber – who is currently the only artist ‘Ye is
following on Twitter. It looks like this highly unlikely partnership might
become a reality. The former Wu-Tang Clam member told XXLMag.com that “it’s
definitely gonna happen” adding that when talents merge together “it’s
something that’s gonna make the fans check it out.” Not only is Rae a fan of
both artists, but he explained, “For them to even just have a conversation
and just put my name in it, it feels good… we gon’ make a hit.”

LADY GAGA WANTS ANOTHER T.I. COLLAB

According to Rap-Up.com, Lady Gaga reached out to T.I., expressing that they
could “top” their recent collaboration together. Tip explained that right
now he’s unsure if their current duet will appear on King Uncaged or “if
that’s going to be one-upped or what not.” As of now, Kanye West is the only
confirmed guest feature on the T.I.’s highly anticipated disc – which will
hit stores later this fall.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY FAT JOE!

Today, Fat Joe turns 40 years old. The Bronx native can enjoy this
significant milestone knowing that he’s re-established himself in hip hop.
The rapper’s latest The Darkside: Vol 1 album recently received great
reviews after Joe experienced disappointing sales for Jealous Ones Still
Envy 2 (J.O.S.E. 2). He told us that he took his time recording the album

His lawyers explained that West would be out of the country for business.

According to People.com, Fantasia Barrino’s boyfriend, Antwaun Cook, wants
everyone know that she had nothing to do with the demise of his marriage.
His lawyer, Nicole Sodoma, explained in a statement, “Antwaun would be
remiss not to address the criticism and judgment he has received. He knew
Fantasia Barrino but the failure of his marriage can in no way be blamed on
anyone except the two people that were a part of the union – Paula and

GAGA NEXT ALBUM MAY BE “SHOCKING”

Lady Gaga recently announced that she’s still working on her highly
anticipated next album.  Producer RedOne heard some of it already and said
that it’s going to be “shocking.”  The producer, who was behind Gaga’s
breakout hit “Just Dance,” told Billboard.com that he worked on two tracks
for the project and that it’s going to make people say, “Oh my God! We
didn’t expect this!”  RedOne also said that he encouraged the pop star to
work with other producers on the new record, but wouldn’t say exactly who.

Lady Gaga’s Monster Ball tour took her to California this week, and the pop
star decided to do a little sightseeing.  According to 9To5Mac.com, Gaga
stopped by Apple headquarters in Cupertino, California.  Dressed in typical

KATY AND RUSSELL GET COUNSELING

Katy Perry and Russell Brand are set to get married in the coming months,
and it appears that the couple is going to a little counseling in
anticipation of their upcoming nuptials.  According to British paper the
Daily Mirror, Perry is worried that the fact that the two are always on the
road could lead to some problems, so they’ve been talking to a therapist for
an hour a day.

JUSTIN BIEBER GETS HIT WITH A BOTTLE

Justin Bieber was hit in the head with a water bottle at a recent radio
concert.  Footage of the incident popped up on the web.  After getting
struck, Bieber bounced back saying, “Ow, that didn’t feel good.”  The
16-year-old is currently out on his My World Tour, which rolls into
Nashville, Tennessee tomorrow night.

RIHANNA SETS ANOTHER RECORD

Eminem’s “Love the Way You Lie” featuring Rihanna jumps to the top spot on
the Pop songs radio airplay chart this week.  According to RihannaNow.com,
that marks six number one singles for Rihanna.  She is now tied Mariah
Carey, Beyoncé and Lady Gaga, who have previously had six number one hits on
the chart.  “Love the Way You Lie” is also enjoying its third week at the
number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

DR DRE NOT ON ICE CUBE’S I AM THE WEST ALBUM?

Over the weekend, Ice Cube took to his blog to announce that Dr Dre has not
contributed to his I Am The West album. The rap veteran explained on his
blog that the super producer has been “M.I.A. for a few months now.” Cube
added that he even touched base with Snoop Dogg about Dre’s whereabouts, but
had no luck. In any case, the 15-track album is still being mixed and will

TREY SONGZ BAD REALITY SHOW RATINGS?

Trey Songz might be the hottest R&B singer out right now, but the ratings
for his BET reality show My Moment are not looking good. The series
premiered immediately following the 2010 BET Awards, but the viewership has
continued to decline, with this week’s episode attracting only 460-thousand
viewers. PerezHilton.com reports the show is the lowest rated of all shows
on cable! Ouch!

DAVID BANNER ON DEATH OF A POP STAR

Last week, we got the chance to talk to David Banner about the direction of
his upcoming album, Death Of A Pop Star. The Mississippi native told us that
unlike 2008’s The Greatest Story Ever Told:

“Everything about this album…if people are a little uncomfortable
with this album I really meant it to be that way.  I want to shake people up
like we got Martians on the cover, its purple, and pink, and green, like I
wanted to be different.”

Death Of A Pop Star, which was produced by 9th Wonder, is currently slated
for a November 9th release.

DMX’S EX WIFE EXPLAINS SEPARATION

After 13 years of marriage, DMX’s ex-wife is speaking up about what caused
the end of their relationship. Tashera Simmons explained that “he had four
other children” that she “didn’t know about.” According to DrewReports.com,
Tashera stated, “The drugs already [were] too much but then the cheating; I
didn’t even know he had time to do that.” She added, “There was just a lot
of unprotected sex and I have kids to take care of. I started thinking about
all of that and I was like, I can’t do it anymore. I felt he took me for
granted.”

FANTASIA IN SEX SCANDAL?

According to Charlotte’s NBC affiliate, Fantasia Barrino is potentially
facing a lawsuit for allegedly having an affair with a married man. A woman
named Paula Cook is accusing her estranged husband, Antwuan Cook, of making
a sex tape with the former American Idol winner. Paula claims in documents
that her husband and Fantasia have “at times recorded their illicit sexual
activity,” and since a third party can be sued for breaking up a marriage,
Fanny could be in hot water. We’ll keep you posted with further updates.

ERYKAH PREMIERES “WINDOW SEAT” REMIX VIDEO

Unlike the original “Window Seat” video, Erykah Badu opted to keep her
clothes on for newly released remix video with Rick Ross. In the clip for
“Window Seat, Part II,” the singer is picked up from jail in Ross’ Porsche,
which then segues into a mini-heist movie with Badu’s new single, “Get
Money” off New Amerykah Pt. II, playing in the background. Check it out on

Melanie Fiona is hard at work on her forthcoming sophomore album,
tentatively titled The MF Files. The “It Kills Me” singer is confident about
her continued success since she’s unlike any other artist out.

“It’s the fact that as a new artist I can say, I have my album
released overseas before I have it released in America. I’ve been able to
saturate German, Swiss, Italian, French, U-K, Canadian markets before even
coming back to America. A lot of new artists don’t get that luck. They kind
of throw you to stick on the wall over here and be like ‘are you going to
work?’ and then other people buy into it but I’ve had the opportunity to be
global because of the sound that I do. So that’s the pay off for me.”

The Canadian songbird is yet to provide a release date for The MF Files.

NEW KANYE SINGLE COMING IN THREE WEEKS!

If you missed Kanye West’s recent UStream video, then you’ll be surprised to
know that he intends to drop a new single, called “Lost in the World” or
“All of the Lights,” in the next three weeks. The “Power” rapper also stated
that his fourth studio album, formally titled Good Ass Job, will no longer
arrive in September. Instead, he told fans to expect the disc to land

CHRISTINA GOING TO LIVE NATION?

According to various reports, Christina Aguilera could follow Madonna, U2
and Jay-Z over at Live Nation.  Christina is currently signed to a long term
contract with RCA Records, according to her manager Irving Azoff, who
coincidentally is the executive chairman of Live Nation.  Azoff took to
Twitter to say that the singer and actress is not thinking about switching
labels, rather she’s focused on her upcoming movie, Burlesque, which comes
out in November.  He added that Live Nation is not a record company.  He
also noted that RCA is not giving up on Christina due to sluggish sales of
her latest album.  Aguilera’s Bionic album is up two spots to number 55 on
the Billboard album chart and has sold over 208-thousand copies since its
release seven weeks ago.

GAGA GOES CROWD SURFING

Lady Gaga didn’t only perform at Lollapalooza over the weekend – she went
crowd surfing too.  According to many different outlets, the “Bad Romance”
singer jumped into the crowd during the Semi Precious Weapons’ set at the
Chicago festival, wearing an outfit made of fishnets and not too much more.

Bun B often times doesn’t get enough credit. However, after releasing his

highest rating from The Source. The emcee was the first to get a classic
rating since Lil’ Kim’s 2005 effort, Naked Truth. Bun recently told us that

DRAKE READIES UPCOMING R&B MIXTAPE

After gaining a strong fan base from his mixtapes, particularly So Far Gone,
Drake told MTV News he’s currently working on a new project. The rapper, who
recently went platinum for Thank Me Later, explained the tape will be a
“great body of work.” Drizzy added, “I’m gonna do it like I did with all my
other tapes…I feel the people deserve it.” He promises fans will be able
to download the untitled mixtape for free “very soon.”

YOUNG BUCK’S HOME RAIDED BY IRS

TMZ reports the home of former G-Unit member Young Buck was raided by the
IRS since the rapper owes over 300-thousand in unpaid taxes. A handful of
armed federal agents entered Bucks’ Nashville residence to repossess any
assets that could be used to pay the back taxes. Get this, he stated, “The
worst part of this isn’t the material stuff – that will all be replaced.
It’s what it does to the people around me. They took my kids’ Playstation,
my assistants’ computers, and baby’s mothers’ jewelry. They took my home
studio, so I can’t even record.” The “Shorty Wanna Ride” rapper previously
disclosed to 50 Cent that he was heavily in debt, but the raiding has
prompted the emcee to be more financially responsible so this never happens
again.

*       Buck also stated: “This is a huge wake up call for all
entertainers to stay on top of your own trusted employees and team members,
and replace anyone that was put in place by your record label if the
situation you have goes sour. This IRS situation came about because I
trusted accountants, lawyers, and managers to handle my business for me
while I focused on making music. From now on, I am going to stay on top of my own business.”

NICKI MINAJ NAMES DEBUT ALBUM

According to her official Twitter page, Nicki Minaj has reportedly announced
that her debut album will be titled Pink Friday. The “Your Love” singer’s
disc is scheduled to arrive just three days before Black Friday, which is
the biggest shopping day of the year. Lil Wayne’s protégé will unleash her
first effort on November 23rd.

50 CENT CONTINUES FAT JOE BEEF

Late last year, 50 Cent predicted that Fat Joe’s career was officially over
after his Jealous Ones Still Envy 2 (J.O.S.E. 2) sold less than
eight-thousand copies. Even though the Bronx native has released solid
singles off his new Darkside: Vol 1 project, including “Slow Down” with
Young Jeezy and “If It Ain’t About Money” featuring Trey Songz, 50 says
listening to the disc will make you cry, literally.  In a new video, the
G-Unit bully pretends to shed a few tears and splices in footage from A &

FAT JOE ISN’T WORRIED ABOUT ALBUM SALES

The numbers are in! Fat Joe’s latest album, The Darkside: Vol 1, landed at
number 27 on the Billboard 200 chart. The disc, which includes “Slow Down”
with Young Jeezy and “If It Ain’t About Money” featuring Trey Songz, sold
over 12-thousand copies in its opening week. Three days after the disc hit
stores, Joe told us what his marker of success is.

“To be honest with you I already achieved it. My mark of success is
just people loving it, and I’ve been going online and I haven’t seen one
disrespect toward the album. You know, people calling it classic, the people
whose opinion I really respect in the hip-hop game are calling up saying
‘wow, this is your best work ever’ and that’s all I wanted to do, man. To
let the fans know that, you know, I’m one of the legends, I’m one of the
greats in the game. The fact that I’m getting that type of love and
reception, that’s enough for me.”

The Darkside: Vol 1 beat out the first week sales of Joey’s previous album,
Jealous Ones Still Envy 2 (J.O.S.E. 2), by 3,520 copies.

NEW LIL WAYNE AND DRAKE COLLAB!

The first single off Lil Wayne’s upcoming I’m Not A Human Being EP surfaced
late on Tuesday night. The new track is called “Right Above It” and includes
a verse from Drake. While Weezy isn’t expected to be released from prison
until late October, his highly anticipated project is slated to land on his
birthday, September 27th.

TREY SONGZ TALKS STEP UP 3D

In addition to Flo Rida and Roscoe Dash, Trey Songz has also contributed to
the official soundtrack for the third installment of the Step Up franchise.
The R&B sensation recorded a track called “Already Taken” and knew it would
be perfect for the flick.

“My career path has been an American dream.  You know, it’s…Step
Up is very much so about that, believing in yourself and believing that
there are no limitations and colors and creeds all can come together and be
as one.  And I think that’s a beautiful message spread through our culture

Chris Brown took to his Twitter page to announce some great news. After
releasing his Graffiti album nearly nine months ago, the R&B singer tweeted:

do something special for yall again!!!” Hmmm, perhaps he’ll release another
mixtape before his fourth studio effort? In any case, the news comes just
weeks before the fallen pop star’s new action film, Takers, is scheduled to

2010: THE YEAR OF THE COLLABORATION

In 2010, the charts have been dominated by collaborations: Justin Bieber’s
“Baby” featuring Ludacris, B.o.B’s “Nothin’ On You” featuring Bruno Mars,
Katy Perry’s “California Gurls” featuring Snoop Dogg, Eminem’s “Love The Way
You Lie” featuring Rihanna and so many more.  The 2010 MTV Video Music
Awards are celebrating this collaborative year by handing out nominations
that reflect the trend.  Lady Gaga and Beyonce are up for many nominations
for their “Telephone” hook up, B.o.B, who joined forces with Paramore’s
Hayley Williams and Bruno Mars, was rewarded with noms for not only Best
Male, Hip Hop and Pop Video, but Video of the Year too.  Katy Perry and
Snoop Dogg got together on “California Gurls” and earned nominations for
Best Female and Pop Video.  In fact, things were so collaborative in 2010
that the VMAs brought back the Best Collaboration category, last seen in
2007 under the handle Most Earthshattering Collaboration to mark the

 JOHN LEGEND’S GRAMMY IS BROKEN!

TMZ has learned John Legend’s 2005 GRAMMY Award for Best R&B Album was
snapped in half by his nephews. The “Ordinary People” crooner posted a
picture of the broken accolade on his Twitter page and wrote that he hopes
to be sent a “replacement.” The singer has received five other golden awards
that he plans to keep in tact by “nephew proofing [his] apartment a little

KID ROCK THROWS 9/11 CONCERT FOR U-S TROOPS

Kid Rock will be hosting a concert on September 11th in Fort Jackson, South
Carolina called Kid Rock Salutes the Troops Presented by Jim Beam: Patriot
Day 2010. Service members and their families will be able to get in to the
concert for free. Kid Rock has been known to honor U-S troops throughout his
touring career. At Kid Rock’s Chicago concert last Saturday, he joined Jim
Beam employees to donate 100-thousand dollars to Operation Homefront for
emergency assistance to U-S troops, their families and wounded veterans.

KELIS ANNOUCES U-K AND EURO TOUR!

According to SingersRoom.com, Kelis has announced fall tour dates for the
U-K and Europe.  The outing starts in London before hitting Manchester,
Glasgow and Birmingham.  Then, the “Scream” singer will take her show to
France, Belgium, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Germany and Holland.  Kelis will

NE-YO TALKS MJ SONGS

Ne-Yo opened up to Australia’s Daily Telegraph and talked about the songs he
had written for Michael Jackson.  The R&B singer/songwriter said that he was
sending Jackson three or four drafts a week prior to Michael’s unexpected
death. More than a year later, Ne-Yo still stands at a crossroads as he
contemplates what to do with the songs he created specifically for the one
and only MJ.  Ne-Yo said he can’t sell them to someone else, as that would
be disrespectful.  He added that it might even be disrespectful for him to
record the songs, as they were “absolutely written for Michael Jackson.”

An online parody of Jay-Z and Alicia Keys’ “Empire State of Mind” has gained
hundreds of fans. Created by 24-year-old MJ Delaney, the spoof has been
viewed more than 1.65-million times on YouTube! Instead of focusing on New
York, the video takes place in Wales City, about 140 miles West of London.
The U-K clip has already won some high-profile fans including Lily Allen,
who recently posted a link to the film on her Twitter account. <WM>

Fat Joe knew as soon as he recorded “If It Ain’t About Money” with Trey
Songz that it would become a hit. The Bronx native doesn’t like to toot his

Trey Songz has created an undeniable brand in music and like most artists,
the R&B crooner wants to venture off into films.

“I do, hopefully my acting career will be very, very big. You know

where I want it to be, but when the time comes for me to step into that

Charles Hamilton recently checked himself into the New York Presbyterian
Mental Hospital! According to BallerStatus.com, the rapper claims he
voluntarily entered to get a “peace of mind” from the stress of the music
industry. The “Brooklyn Girls” artist had become the butt of industry jokes
after a video was leaked of his ex-girlfriend punching him in the face.  He
was also recently dropped from Interscope Records. It’s unclear how long his
stay at the mental institution will be. <WM>

BIZZY BONE LANDS DEAL WITH SUMERIAN RECORDS

Bone Thugs-N-Harmony member Bizzy Bone has just signed a deal with DC-based
label Sumerian Records. He is set to release a new solo album entitled
Crossroads 2010, which will be a mash-up of heavy metal and hip-hop. Label
founder Ash Avildsen says Bizzy is “one of the most progressive vocalists I
have ever heard” and calls the album “incredible.”  Crossroads 2010 has
already made its digital debut and is set to drop August 24th! In addition,
Bizzy Bones will be featured on the upcoming season of Vh1’s Celebrity Rehab
with Dr. Drew, where he’ll seek treatment for marijuana and alcohol abuse.

CHILLI NEVER MARRIED DALLAS AUSTIN!

According to SingersRoom.com, Chilli claims she never married the father of
her son, music producer Dallas Austin! During the recent airing of Vh1’s
Behind The Music, focusing on ex-boyfriend Usher, Chilli spoke on their
previous relationship with Austin and how infidelity lead to their break up.
Due to the show, many speculated that she was married to the hitmaker.
However, the TLC member stated, “I’ve never been married in my life” and if
she was, she would never keep it a secret. Vh1 will also be airing the
second season of What Chilli Wants, but it is unclear if Chilli will be on
the hunt for love again or settling down with the guy she picked on season

SEAL TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM

Seal is going to be releasing a new album.  According to a press release,
the effort will be titled Seal 6: Commitment, and is due out on September
28th.  The album is produced by David Foster and the first single is a love

EMINEM NOTCHES FIFTH STRAIGHT WEEK ON TOP

Eminem’s Recovery maintains the top spot on the Billboard album chart for
the fifth straight week, selling another 187-thousand copies, according to
Nielsen SoundScan.  Rick Ross’ Teflon Don bows at number two selling over
176-thousand copies.  Sheryl Crow’s 100 Miles From Memphis debuts at number
three with 55-thousand copies, marking her eighth top ten album.  Drake’s
Thank Me Later falls one spot to number four, while Kidz Bop 18 starts at
number five.  Justin Bieber’s My World 2.0 slides one spot to number six and
has now sold over 1.5 million copies.  The Jonas Brothers’ soundtrack to
their Disney Channel TV series Jonas L.A. bows at number seven, selling over
32-thousand copies.

RICK FAILS TO BEAT OUT EMINEM ON BILLBOARD 200

Even though Rick Ross failed to debut at number one on the Billboard 200
chart, the rapper was able to sell over 176-thousand for his latest album,
Teflon Don. The Def Jam artist was originally projected to beat out Eminem’s
Recovery album – which has remained on top for it’s the fifth straight week.
With contributions from Kanye West, Jay-Z, T.I., Raphael Saadiq and Drake,
the emcee’s fourth studio effort is definitely one that should be added to

RIHANNA WANTS A LADY GAGA COLLABORATION

The U-K’s MTV News reports that Rihanna has revealed the one person she’s
dying to work with: Lady Gaga. The “Te Amo” songbird explained, “A
collaboration between Gaga and myself would be really cool because we do a
similar type of music and we both really love fashion.” The pop star
believes teaming up would result in a “very hot and sexy video,” adding, “I
would love to collaborate with her. Who wouldn’t?” Only time will tell,
especially since both singers are recording new albums for 2011. <WM>

DIDDY OWES NYC

According to the New York Daily News, Diddy owes the city of New York nearly
one-million dollars. Puff’s Bad Boy Entertainment company was hit for
illegally displaying posters all over the tri-state area. A spokesman for
the mogul claimed the 966-thousand dollar debt was paid three years ago and
lawyers are currently reviewing the records. <WM>

FOXY’S LAWYER QUITS BEFORE COURT DATE

Foxy Brown may have seemed nonchalant about her court case at a recent

York’s Daily News, her lawyer, Bruce Barron, announced that he is no longer
representing Brown and the new attorney, Salvatore Strazzullo, attempted to
get Foxy an order of protection against her accuser but was denied. While
Brown has entered a not guilty plea, she’s looking at seven years in prison
if found guilty for violating a restraining order on her neighbor, Arlene

DOES MADONNA ACT LIKE A DIVA?

Does Madonna act like a diva when she has to fly commercial airlines?  A
source told British paper the Daily Star that on a recent Virgin Atlantic
flight from New York to London, the pop star bought out an entire aisle in
first class for herself and her entourage.  She also wouldn’t let the flight
attendants “walk down her aisle or ask her any questions, they had to go

Travie McCoy and Kid Cudi have been added to the third annual Sunset Strip
Music Festival.  The event, which celebrates the famed Sunset Strip in West

According to RapRadar.com, DJ Drama spilled the beans that T.I. will

Tip recently returned from traveling all the way to Hawaii to record in

she will assist in attempting to save the planet from a “superior force.” Ri
Ri’s acting credentials include her recent SNL skit with Adam Samberg and

If you listen closely, Eminem’s “Love The Way You Lie” single is all about
domestic violence…a topic that Rihanna felt compelled to be a part of. The
songbird told Access Hollywood she wanted to do the duet because “it’s
something that, you know, we’ve both experienced, on different sides,
different ends of the table.” Ri Ri stated Em “pretty much just broke down
the cycle of domestic violence and it’s something that people don’t have a
lot of insight on.” She added, “The lyrics were so deep, so beautiful and
intense. It’s something that I understood, something I connected with.” The
video for “Love The Way You Lie” will premiere this week. <WM>

DMX TO RETURN TO PRISON?

MTV News reports DMX has turned himself into Los Angeles authorities to
begin a 90 day sentence stemming from a 2002 driving infraction charge. The
rapper spoke with MTV before surrendering and stated he wants to “get that
over with. It’s one of the first steps in regaining everything I lost.” The
rapper adds his “relationship with God has gotten so much stronger. He’s
always had his hand on me…Now that I’m actually listening and being
obedient, life is so much better.” X was just released from Maricopa County
Jail in Phoenix three weeks ago. <WM>

TIME LINE OF DMX’S LEGAL ISSUES

In 1999, DMX was arrested but later cleared of charges for a stabbing during
his Hard Knock Life Tour in Boston, Massachusetts.

On October 11th, 1999, DMX was arrested for assaulting a police officer
while under the influence of drugs and alcohol. The officer needed 13
stitches in his head and DMX was sentenced to two months in prison.

In the summer of 1999, DMX, along with his wife, were arrested and charged
with animal cruelty and possession of drugs and weapons. DMX successfully
bargained his sentence down to probation, fines and community service.

In March of 2000, he was arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation of a
vehicle, speeding, driving without a license, failure to signal and
possession of marijuana in Cheektowaga, New York. He was sentenced to 15
days in jail and a 400 dollar fine.

In 2001, DMX was arrested again for driving without a license and possession
of marijuana. His appeal to reduce this sentence was denied and he was then
charged with assault for allegedly throwing objects at prison guards.

In 2002, he pled guilty to animal cruelty of having 13 neglected pit bulls
in his possession and also entered rehab to treat his addiction to drugs.

In June 2003, he was arrested for using inappropriate language during a
performance at St. Kitts and Nevis in the Caribbean. The country’s
Information Minister alleged that a contract had been signed by DMX stating
that the show would be without foul language on stage. DMX was released on
bail of 376 dollars.

In June 2004, he was arrested again at JFK Airport in New York on charges of
possession of cocaine, criminal impersonation, criminal possession of a
weapon, criminal mischief, and driving under the influence while claiming to
be a federal agent and attempting to carjack a vehicle. He was given a
conditional discharge on December 8th, 2004 but pled guilty on October 25th,
2005 to violating his parole.

On November 18th, 2005, DMX was sentenced to 70 days in jail for violating
his parole. He was released from jail early on December 30th, 2005 for good
behavior.

In May 2006, he was arrested at a London airport for causing a disturbance
after he refused to put his seat belt on. He was later released with a
warning.

 By December 31st, 2008, DMX had pleaded guilty to charges of drug
possession, theft and animal cruelty and was sentenced to 90 days.

On May 22nd, 2009, he entered a plea agreement in which he pleaded guilty to
attempted aggravated assault.

Paul Wall isn’t stressing over the sub-par first week sales for his latest
album, Heart Of A Champion. The Houston native told BallerStatus.com that
he’s just “blessed to have another album come out.”  He added, “I’m blessed
to be able to do what I love to do: make music.” The rapper explained that
he’s “financially straight” and doesn’t have to “depend on the royalty
checks” to survive. In fact, he makes most of his money from touring “365
days a year” and his jewelry store. Paul’s LP debuted at number 58 on the
Billboard 200, with less than eight-thousand units sold. <WM>

COMMON TO APPEAR IN NEW AMC DRAMA

After recently starring opposite Queen Latifah in Just Wright, Common has
landed a new acting gig. The rapper will appear in the AMC network’s
forthcoming drama series Hell on Wheels. According to Deadline.com, he will
portray “a half black, half white, freed slave” working on the
Transcontinental Railroad. Common was chosen due to his ability to bring “a
layered intensity to a very complex role.” So far, he is the only actor

FAT JOE RECRUITS R KELLY ON THE DARKSIDE

Now that Fat Joe has finally released his latest album, The Darkside Vol 1,
he hopes fans will fall in love with one of his favorite songs on it. Here’s

While some might wonder what’s the current status of Cassie’s oft-delayed

away, former executive producer Nigel Lythgoe is close to signing a deal to
return to the show.  THR is also reporting that Fuller is adding to the list
of new judge candidates, a wish list that includes singers Justin
Timberlake, Chris Issak, Elton John and Harry Connick, Jr.  Lythgoe left

LLOYD READIES KING OF HEARTS ALBUM

Lloyd took to his Twitter account to announce some great news. The “Girls
Around The World” singer is hard at work on a new album tentatively titled
King of Hearts. The crooner tweeted the project will be a “masterpiece” once
it’s completed. As yet there is no confirmed release date for the follow-up
to 2008’s Lessons in Love. <WM>

CHRISTINA’S STRUGGLES

Christina Aguilera’s new single “You Lost Me” hasn’t made much of a splash.
The song is nowhere to be seen on the Mediabase Pop Charts or the Billboard
Hot 100.  Her new album, Bionic, is currently at number 60 on the Billboard
album chart and has sold just over 200-thousand copies since its release six
weeks ago.  According to ThatGrapeJuice.net, “You Lost Me” currently sits at

FAT JOE HELPED TREY SONGZ GET RECORD DEAL?

Fat Joe’s latest single, “If It Ain’t About Money,” wouldn’t be the same
without Trey Songz on the hook. The Bronx native told us his personal ties
to the singer made the song that much more special.

“I was there when Trey Songz played his demo. At the time I was the
biggest artist in Atlantic Records and they was like, ‘Yo this kids coming
in from Virginia, and they gonna play the music, do you want to listen Joe?’
I was like ‘yeah’. So I sat there and he played his stuff and I was like ‘yo
he’s the gold, he’s a star.'”

Joey revealed that he had no problems getting Trey to on it.

“We was doing a lot of reminiscing cuz he was telling me, ‘Joe,
don’t think that I’d forget that’. Cuz you know he is the hottest dude in
the game right now. So, you can tend to forget things and really be caught

own personal toilet paper at concerts. Members of British Indie rock band
Kasabian revealed to the site that Hova was provided with luxury items
backstage at the T in the Park Scottish music festival. The mogul was said
to have “his own toilet and his own toilet paper!” Must be nice! <WM>

After releasing his debut album Thank Me Later on June 15th, Drake has now
officially gone platinum. The rapper recently tweeted his shock after
learning the news and wrote, “Thank you to everyone who allowed us to go

was to cater to all of his fans on the disc. In related

EMINEM AND RIHANNA VIDEO DEBUTING SOON!

Fans can expect the video of Eminem’s new single, “Love The Way You Lie”
featuring Rihanna, to premiere sooner than expected. Director Joseph Kahn
confirmed on Twitter that the clip has already been edited and said that he
“loves” the final cut. In addition, he wrote that the visual should debut in
a week. This marks the third time Em has drafted Kahn, who also shot
“Without Me” and “We Made You.” <WM>

shooting scenes in Los Angeles for the video.

According to StarPulse.com, Eminem reportedly continues to call Elton John
weekly in an effort to maintain his sobriety.  Em has previously openly
admitted that he was addicted to painkillers for over four years. In the
latest issue of Spin magazine, he stated, “Elton John calls me once a week.
He used to tell me stuff like, ‘You’re going to start seeing certain things
you’ve been overlooking.’ And it came true.”  Slim Shady added, “I’d walk
around like, ‘Damn, that tree does look crazy, look at all those leaves!’
Things I didn’t notice when I was f**ked up.” <WM>

ROBIN THICKE ENJOYS FATHERHOOD

According to People.com, Robin Thicke is speaking out for the first time
about how it feels to be a new dad. Paula Patton’s husband explained he’s
“changed a couple of diapers” but “likes doing the holding and the playing
more the idea of changing.” The R&B crooner is also happy that he’s gotten
to “spend a lot of time with the baby lately, learning how to be a dad.”
Thicke said he enjoys watching his son, Julian Fuego, “grow and learn,”
adding that he can’t wait to “teach him basketball and Al Green. I want to
teach him Michael Jackson and all that fun stuff.” The newborn is the

WYCLEF WANTS TO BECOME PRESIDENT OF HAITI?

According to CNN.com, Wyclef Jean is seriously considering running for
President in Haiti. The GRAMMY-winning artist, who was born in the troubled
country, stated that he “can’t sing forever” and has even completed the
necessary paperwork to run, if chooses to do so. Right now, the former Fugee
member is still weighing his options. We’ll keep you posted on further

FOXY BROWN ADDRESSES RECENT ARREST

On Sunday, Foxy Brown performed at B.B. King’s Blues Club & Grill in New
York City’s Times Square and seemed unconcerned by her recent arrest last
week. The fem-cee, who violated a restraining order, told the crowd, “This
is what we all tell the haters. You can’t keep a good bitch down. We makes
bail.” Brown was incarcerated for breaking an order of protection filed by a
woman named Arlene Raymond. She is facing seven years in prison if convicted
of the class E felony charge. Despite all of this, Fox told fans as she
exited the stage that her long-delayed album, Black Roses, will hit stores

NEW LAURYN HILL SONG SURFACES!

Lauryn Hill is slowly but surely inching her way back into the music
industry. The reclusive singer reportedly released a brand new track called
“Repercussions” – which is said to be the first offering from her comeback
album. It’s unknown when Hill plans on releasing her first studio effort in
over 12 years, but newly leaked material is always a good sign! Check it out

year’s Rock The Bells Tour. She’ll join hip hop greats including Snoop Dogg,

NICKI MINAJ SELECTS WILL.I.AM FOR DEBUT LP

During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Nicki Minaj revealed that
she’s enlisted Will.I.Am from the Black Eyed Peas to appear as a guest
feature on her debut album. While she remains mum on other collaborations,
the fem-cee believes, “The album is much more emotional than you anticipate”
and “women are gonna connect to the album so much” because “in telling [her]
story, [she’s] really telling every girl’s story.” The “Your Love” rapper
plans to release her untitled disc on November 23rd. <WM>

USHER INVITES CHRIS BROWN ON STAGE

Who says R&B artists can’t get along? During the SumFest in Jamaica over the
weekend, Chris Brown appeared on stage with Usher and they gave each another

THE DREAM HAS SONGS READY FOR RIHANNA

We recently reported that Rihanna has begun recording new material for her
next album. Unlike the dark songs on Rated R, fans can expect the pop
princess to create lighter material. In fact, The Dream recently told us
he’s currently writing for Ri Ri:

“Oh yeah, already, already man, already got seven of them things.
It ain’t nothing but a thing. Whatever she wanna do, whenever she wanna do
it, that’s my sister. Whatever, and I don’t even say it like, ‘Hey, that’s

SWIZZ BEATZ: “ALICIA WILL BE A GREAT MOM!”

During an interview with People.com, Swizz Beatz recently spoke very highly
of his fiancé, Alicia Keys. The singer is nearly six months pregnant with
their first child together and the producer is confident that she is
“definitely one of those great parents-to-be.” He then added, “I’m
definitely one of those great parents as well.” As far as keeping the sex of
the child secret, Swizz stated, “We’re just going to let that be magical.
Whatever we’re blessed with, boy, girl, twins, that baby is being born to
blessed parents.” The couple was spotted at the 11th annual Art for Life
benefit at Russell Simmons’ East Hampton home. <WM>

After Starpulse.com published a fairly unflattering picture of Amy Winehouse
over the weekend, rumors started flying that the embattled singer could
possibly be pregnant with what would be her first child.  The rumors turned
out to be nothing more than that, as a rep for Winehouse told Gossip Cop
that the reports are “completely not true” and that she is not pregnant.

EMINEM SCORES FOURTH STRAIGHT WEEK ON TOP

Eminem’s Recovery album will remain at number one on the Billboard album
chart for a fourth consecutive week, selling 195-thousand copies, according
to Nielsen SoundScan.  It’s the first album to notch four straight weeks at
the summit since Susan Boyle’s I Dreamed a Dream spent six consecutive weeks
at number one.  Korn’s Korn III: Remember Who You Are bows at number two,
selling over 63-thousand copies.  Drake’s Thank Me Later album slides one
spot to number three, Newsboys debut at number four with Born Again, while
Justin Bieber’s My World 2.0 holds at number five.  Sting’s Symphonicities
starts at number six, Jerrod Niemann bows at number seven with Judge Jerrod
& The Hung Jury, Hellyeah lands at number eight with their new album
Stampede, M.I.A.’s Maya album comes in at number nine and The Twilight Saga:

EMINEM SCORES NUMBER ONE HIT!

Eminem will post the first back-to-back Billboard Hot 100 chart-toppers of
his career as “Love The Way You Lie” featuring Rihanna debuts at number one
today.  According to Billboard, the rapper debuted atop the Hot 100 in May
with “Not Afraid,” the introductory single from his current number one album
Recovery.  Katy Perry’s “California Gurls” featuring Snoop Dogg slips to
number two after spending the past six weeks at the summit.  Meanwhile,
“Airplanes” by B.o.B featuring Hayley Williams holds at number three, Taio
Cruz’s “Dynamite” leaps two spots to number four, and “OMG” by Usher
featuring will.i.am slips one notch to number five.  <JC>

* “Love The Way You Lie” is Eminem’s fourth number one song on the
Billboard Hot 100 chart.  His others are: 2002’s “Lose Yourself,” which was
number one for a whopping 12 weeks, last year’s “Crack a Bottle” with Dr.

* The song marks Rihanna’s seventh number one track since first
appearing on the chart since back in 2005, the most by any artist during
that time span.
* “Love The Way You Lie” is number one on the Digital Song chart,

DRAKE PREPARES FOR OVO FESTIVAL IN TORONTO

Billboard.com reports Drake is looking to create a tradition for the first
annual OVO Festival. The one day event will take place inside Toronto’s
Molson Amphitheatre on August 1st and will include performances from Drizzy,
Bun B, Young Jeezy and more. The Young Money standout said in a statement,
“I truly believe this is entertainment at a level that the city has never

FAT JOE DESCRIBES THE MOOD OF NEW ALBUM

With guest features from Cam’ron, Clipse, Lil Wayne and Young Jeezy, Fat Joe
aims to show his gritty side on The Darkside: Vol 1. Don’t expect any

RIHANNA SWITCHES GEARS FOR NEXT ALBUM

According to SingersRoom.com, Rihanna’s follow-up to Rated R will be less
edgy and more pop driven. Her rep released a statement explaining, “She
loves her fans and is trying to make the best album possible. It will be a
return to her pop roots but will have enough variety to please all her true
fans.” Ri Ri won’t release any more singles from Rated R. It’s currently
unknown when she’ll complete her next studio album. <WM>

JENNIFER HUDSON MAKES PROGRESS FOR WINNIE

In addition to recording her sophomore album, Jennifer Hudson is also
focusing on her latest film project, Winnie. The singer and Terrence Howard
have reportedly already shot scenes, including a wedding ceremony, on
location in South Africa. In the biopic, J Hud portrays Winnie Mandela, the
ex-wife of Nelson Mandela – who is played by Howard. IMDB.com reports the
film is expected to open early next year. <WM>

SOULJA BOY HARD AT WORK ON DEANDRE WAY

Now that he’s released his new single, “Pretty Boy Swag,” it’s easier to see
where Soulja Boy is headed on his next album. When we last spoke to the
young emcee, he told us that the project will be an overall improvement from
his last two discs.

“I just wanna show the public that what we focusing on this album
is growth and development as an overall artist as far as lyrics and beats.”

The DeAndre Way will be released on Soulja Boy’s 20th birthday, July 28th.

SEAN KINGSTON TALKS!

Last week, we reported Sean Kingston was being accused of sexual assault by
two women, but police said the case was not credible.  The charges have been
dropped and TMZ cameras caught up with Kingston while he was out in Los
Angeles, taking a break from his tour with Justin Bieber.  Kingston told
them the allegations were a rumor and that he is innocent. <JC>

MEGAN FOX TO BE IN EMINEM VIDEO?

Director Joseph Kahn recently confirmed on Twitter that he’s shooting
Eminen’s “Love The Way You Lie” video. In addition to Rihanna being included
in the clip, there are rumors that actress Megan Fox and Lost’s Dominic
Monaghan will play the two leads in the clip. EOnline.com reports the two
actors will shoot steamy scenes together. The single is off Em’s Recovery

JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE DIRECTS TEQUILA AD

Justin Timberlake, who stars in the upcoming Facebook movie The Social
Network, recently went behind the camera to direct an ad for his 901
Tequila.  According to E! Online, Timberlake cast the brother of his
ex-girlfriend, Jessica Biel, in the ad.  Biel’s bro, Justin, works at the
tequila company in real life and in the commercial, appears in a party scene
that takes place at The Standard Hotel in downtown Los Angeles.  <JC>

MARK RONSON SPEAKS ABOUT AMY WINEHOUSE

Mark Ronson wants very badly to be a part of Amy Winehouse’s forthcoming
album, the follow-up to the ultra-successful Back to Black.  According to
British paper the Daily Record, the producer said they recently did a song,
so they are “definitely working together,” and he hopes “to work on her
album.”  Winehouse recently said that the effort should be released sometime
