In Vibe’s new Juice issue, Eminem spoke on when he’ll consider retiring from
hip hop. The rapper, who just went double platinum for Recovery, stated that
he “honestly [doesn't] know how much longer [he] has in this game.” Em said
he’ll “always love hip-hop,” but “the day that this is not better than the
last will probably be the day I stop.” Slim Shady concluded with: “You don’t
know how long people are going to want you around…Realistically, if I
don’t rap, what the f**k am I going to do? It’s too late to be unfamous at
this point.”

MARIAH TO DROP HOLIDAY ALBUM SOON!

According to PerezHilton.com, Mariah Carey is expected to release a new
Christmas album. The diva is reportedly preparing to record six new original
songs as well as older material, including a new remix of her classic, “All
I Want For Christmas Is You.”  The project will arrive in stores on November
2nd.

*       The songbird’s last Christmas album was released on November 1st,
1994 and sold over 12-million copies worldwide. It’s considered to be one of
the best-selling holiday records every released.

BEYONCE’S HOUSE OF DEREON STEALING DESIGNS?

Beyonce has been accused of stealing again, only this time it’s not over
songwriting credits. The singer’s House Of Dereon fall line has similar
leggings as ones designed by Iceland’s E-label. SingersRoom.com reports Bey
is potentially facing a lawsuit after she was photographed purchasing the
exact pair from the Topshop in London last November.

CHRISTINA DOING PRIVATE GIGS?

According to Yahoo’s U-K web site, Christina Aguilera will start doing
private gigs at weddings and Bar Mitzvahs following the cancellation of her
U-S tour and the debatable poor sales of her album Bionic.  The album became
the lowest-selling number one record in eight years in the U-K and soon
dropped off of the charts.  According to the site, sources told Now magazine
that Aguilera is charging the equivalent of 250-thousand dollars per
appearance.  Aguilera’s Bionic album fell one spot to number 83 on the
Billboard album chart and has sold 224-thouand copies since its release ten
weeks ago.

LAURYN HILL ON BILLBOARD CHARTS

According to MTV News, Lauryn Hill’s new song, “Repercussions,” debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart – the first time one of the singer’s tracks made the list in over a decade. The previously unreleased song, which entered at
number 94, is rumored to be the first offering from the Hill’s long-awaited comeback album. 1999′s “Turn Your Lights Down Low” was the last song to appear on the Billboard chart.

most known for. Weird, right? That the hat is more popular than the music?”
Yesterday, we reported that Ne-Yo started to wear hats when he began losing
his hair at age 13. In addition, fans can expect the entertainer to issue a
fragrance line in the near future.

MASHONDA WANTS SWIZZ TO UNITE HIS KIDS

Mashonda sat down with Hip-Hop Weekly to reveal her last wish regarding her
ex-husband, Swizz Beatz. The singer hopes that her three-year-old son with
the producer will become well acquainted with the upcoming child that he’s
about to have with Alicia Keys. Mashonda adds that she wants her son to
“have a relationship with his sister in Europe and all the children involved
will grow together in unity. That is very important.” Apparently, Swizz
fathered a baby girl named Jahna Sebastian with a Russian woman living in
London two years ago. He also has a ten-year-old son, Prince Nasir, from a
previous relationship.

LLYOD FEELS THE PRESSURE

After releasing his new single “Lay It Down,” Lloyd knows the pressure is on
to deliver a great album. The singer, who recently signed with Polow Da
Don’s Zone 4 imprint on Interscope Records, told Rap-Up TV that he’s among
great artists and there’s a “great weight” on his shoulders to create a

Lady Gaga’s Monster Ball tour has been one of the most successful treks in

been.  According to estimates by Billboard, the “Bad Romance” singer’s world
tour will have grossed almost 200-million dollars by the time she wraps it
up.  Fortunately for all the little monsters out there, it’s still going
strong and Gaga has plans to keep the tour on the road well into 2011.

EMINEM GOES DOUBLE PLATINUM!

It didn’t take long for Eminem’s critically acclaimed Recovery album to
achieve double platinum status. In fact, Slim Shady’s disc, which includes
“Not Afraid” and “The Way You Lie” featuring Rihanna, sold well over
two-million copies in only two weeks. According to Nielsen SoundScan, Em
managed to sell an additional 132-thousand copies last week, which pushed
his grand total to 2.1-mil.

B.O.B EXCITED TO PERFORM AT THE 2010 MTV VMAs!

With his smash hit single “Nothing On You” featuring Bruno Mars and the
equally explosive follow-up “Airplanes” with Paramore’s Hayley Williams,
B.o.B deserves all the nominations he’s received for the 2010 MTV Video
Music Awards. The Grand Hustle artist is expected to perform during the big
show and he’s able to keep his cool by looking at his success in a very
humble way. B.o.B will take stage on Sunday, September 12th at 9 PM.

UPDATE ON RIHANNA’S NEXT ALBUM

Producer Alex Da Kid told JustJared.com that fans can expect Rihanna’s next
album to be “strong, fun, and sassy.” The hit-maker has already contributed
to Ri Ri’s follow-up to Rated R and added the disc has “a mixture of her two
sides. It’s commercial, but at the same time it’s got an edge to it-it has
substance.” In addition, people from the singer’s label are looking to
create a song that will have similar success to her duet on Eminem’s “Love
the Way You Lie” single.

KERI DROPS FIRST SINGLE OFF NO BOYS ALLOWED

After the success of her In A Perfect World debut, the pressure is on for
Keri Hilson. We caught up with the “Knock You Down” singer to find out the
status and direction of her sophomore album.

“I feel like this album honed in on what makes Keri special and
indifferent, and I think that it’s even more a lane for me, which is what I
wanted to accomplish for people to understand. It’s great, the comparison to
great people is awesome but this is who I am. So, I got to dive more into
that.”

According to an official press release, Miss Keri’s new album is titled No
Boys Allowed. The first single was produced by Timbaland and it’s called
“Breaking Point.”

METHOD MAN TO PRESS CHARGES?

According to TMZ, Method Man is looking to sue for being injured during his
performance at the Insane Clown Posse’s Gathering of Juggalos festival this
past weekend. An unidentified concertgoer threw a beer bottler at Meth,
which caused a laceration under his left eye. The rapper intends to file a
lawsuit because he doesn’t “condone throwing things at the talent while
they’re performing. It takes a lot of heart and balls to continue performing

RAEKWON TALKS POSSIBLE KANYE, BIEBER SONG

We recently reported Kanye West tweeted about wanting to collaborate with
Raekwon and Justin Bieber – who is currently the only artist ‘Ye is
following on Twitter. It looks like this highly unlikely partnership might
become a reality. The former Wu-Tang Clam member told XXLMag.com that “it’s
definitely gonna happen” adding that when talents merge together “it’s
something that’s gonna make the fans check it out.” Not only is Rae a fan of
both artists, but he explained, “For them to even just have a conversation
and just put my name in it, it feels good… we gon’ make a hit.”

LADY GAGA WANTS ANOTHER T.I. COLLAB

According to Rap-Up.com, Lady Gaga reached out to T.I., expressing that they
could “top” their recent collaboration together. Tip explained that right
now he’s unsure if their current duet will appear on King Uncaged or “if
that’s going to be one-upped or what not.” As of now, Kanye West is the only
confirmed guest feature on the T.I.’s highly anticipated disc – which will
hit stores later this fall.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY FAT JOE!

Today, Fat Joe turns 40 years old. The Bronx native can enjoy this
significant milestone knowing that he’s re-established himself in hip hop.
The rapper’s latest The Darkside: Vol 1 album recently received great
reviews after Joe experienced disappointing sales for Jealous Ones Still
Envy 2 (J.O.S.E. 2). He told us that he took his time recording the album

His lawyers explained that West would be out of the country for business.
Hopefully the upcoming meeting will resolve whether or not Kanye owes Knight

According to People.com, Fantasia Barrino’s boyfriend, Antwaun Cook, wants
everyone know that she had nothing to do with the demise of his marriage.
His lawyer, Nicole Sodoma, explained in a statement, “Antwaun would be
remiss not to address the criticism and judgment he has received. He knew
Fantasia Barrino but the failure of his marriage can in no way be blamed on
anyone except the two people that were a part of the union – Paula and

GAGA NEXT ALBUM MAY BE “SHOCKING”

Lady Gaga recently announced that she’s still working on her highly
anticipated next album.  Producer RedOne heard some of it already and said
that it’s going to be “shocking.”  The producer, who was behind Gaga’s
breakout hit “Just Dance,” told Billboard.com that he worked on two tracks
for the project and that it’s going to make people say, “Oh my God! We
didn’t expect this!”  RedOne also said that he encouraged the pop star to
work with other producers on the new record, but wouldn’t say exactly who.

Lady Gaga’s Monster Ball tour took her to California this week, and the pop
star decided to do a little sightseeing.  According to 9To5Mac.com, Gaga

KATY AND RUSSELL GET COUNSELING

Katy Perry and Russell Brand are set to get married in the coming months,
and it appears that the couple is going to a little counseling in
anticipation of their upcoming nuptials.  According to British paper the
Daily Mirror, Perry is worried that the fact that the two are always on the
road could lead to some problems, so they’ve been talking to a therapist for
an hour a day.

USHER AND CHRIS BROWN TO GO ON TOUR?

After impressing crowds at Jamaica’s Reggae Sumfest, there are reports suggesting that Usher and Chris Brown are looking to embark on a joint tour. Producer Bryan-Michael Cox spilled the beans during Jermaine Dupri’s daily YouTube series, Living The Life. T.I. DELAYS ALBUM AGAIN!

Seeming to take a page out of Dr Dre’s book, T.I. is not rushing the recording process for King Uncaged. In fact, Rap-Up.com reports the emcee has decided to push back the release date for the project for the third time now. He recently told us why it’s crucial to never put out music until its perfect. The disc was supposed to arrive on August 17th, then September 28th and now fans will have to wait a little longer to the rapper’s first project since he was released from prison. <WM>

Fantasia Barrino was treated for a medication overdose at a North Carolina hospital last week after she consumed an entire bottle of sleeping pills. Now, Fanny is speaking up for the first time since her alleged suicide attempt. JAY-Z IS THE RICHEST MAN IN HIP HOP

According to Forbes, Jay-Z tops the Hip-Hop Cash Kings list of the wealthiest people in hip-hop after raking in an estimated 63-million dollars over the past 12 months. Interestingly enough, Jay made way less last year, when he earned 35-million. For the second consecutive year, Jay knocked out Diddy, who banked 30-million. METHOD MAN INJURED DURING LIVE SHOW

TMZ has learned Method Man suffered an injury on his face while performing at a festival with Redman over the weekend. The rapper was hit with “a full beer can” by someone in the crowd. NE-YO LOOKS FORWARD TO BEING A FATHER!

Ne-Yo announced through his Twitter account that he’s going to be a dad for
the very first time. The singer tweeted: “LADIES AND GENTS!!! I’M HAPPY TO
ANNOUNCE THAT I’M HAVING A BEAUTIFUL BABYGIRL!!! THANK YOU GOD.” The mother
of Ne-Yo’s child is Monyetta Shaw and she’s currently four months pregnant.
But don’t expect wedding bells anytime soon for this bachelor. The
songwriter told Ebony Magazine, “I am 30 and I do have my first child on the
way, and I’m very, very, very excited about that. It’s a New Year’s baby and
I’m just in a really good place right now.” The newborn is due January 2011.

FANTASIA OVERDOSES ON SLEEPING PILLS?

According to TMZ, Fantasia Barrino has reportedly been treated for a
medication overdose at a North Carolina hospital on Monday night. The former
American Idol winner’s rep has confirmed that she was rushed to Carolinas
Medical Center-Pineville around 8:55 PM, but her condition was described as
“non life-threatening.” Her rep also revealed Fanny took a combination of
aspirin and sleeping pills. The singer is believed to be overwhelmed by the
pending lawsuit regarding her relationship with boyfriend Antwaun Cook.

FANTASIA TALKS ALLEGED SEX TAPE SCANDAL

Fantasia has decided to address the alleged sex tape scandal with her
rumored boyfriend, Antwuan Cook, and the divorce lawsuit from his estranged
wife, Paula Cook. According to Billboard, the former American Idol winner’s
manager, Brian Dickens, explained in a statement that the singer is “certain
that she is not responsible for the deterioration of the Cook’s marriage.”
Dickens added, “Fantasia will weather this storm with the dignity and grace

ICE CUBE TALKS MONTANA SEX TAPE

GlobalGrind.com reports Ice Cube is speaking up about Laurence Fisburne’s
troubling situation with his daughter, Montana, who is appearing in a new
porn video. The West Coast rapper, who previously filmed with the actor,
feels “once your kids get to a certain age you can’t control what they do,
you can only hope that they do the right thing, do what you taught them and
sometimes they don’t.” He added, “To me I feel bad for him, I don’t feel

DAVID BANNER GETS A RELEASE DATE!

Now that David Banner’s upcoming Death Of A Pop Star has a release date,
it’s only right that we share what he told us about the project. The
Mississippi king revealed:

“There’s only gonna be nine songs.  Ya know, I remember Nas’ first

patient, a Broadway star named Shannon Tavarez. The mogul explained in a
statement, “My son is just a couple years older than Shannon and I can’t
imagine if his life was needlessly cut short when there is someone out there
that could save him.” He added, “Shannon’s chances of finding a matching
donor are slim because she’s African American and Dominican and minorities

JUSTIN BIEBER GETS HIT WITH A BOTTLE

Justin Bieber was hit in the head with a water bottle at a recent radio
concert.  Footage of the incident popped up on the web.  After getting
struck, Bieber bounced back saying, “Ow, that didn’t feel good.”  The
16-year-old is currently out on his My World Tour, which rolls into
Nashville, Tennessee tomorrow night.

RIHANNA SETS ANOTHER RECORD

Eminem’s “Love the Way You Lie” featuring Rihanna jumps to the top spot on
the Pop songs radio airplay chart this week.  According to RihannaNow.com,
that marks six number one singles for Rihanna.  She is now tied Mariah
Carey, Beyoncé and Lady Gaga, who have previously had six number one hits on
the chart.  “Love the Way You Lie” is also enjoying its third week at the
number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

DR DRE NOT ON ICE CUBE’S I AM THE WEST ALBUM?

Over the weekend, Ice Cube took to his blog to announce that Dr Dre has not
contributed to his I Am The West album. The rap veteran explained on his
blog that the super producer has been “M.I.A. for a few months now.” Cube
added that he even touched base with Snoop Dogg about Dre’s whereabouts, but
had no luck. In any case, the 15-track album is still being mixed and will
be ready for its September 28th launch date. In related news, be sure to
watch the rapper in the new film Lottery Ticket with Bow Wow, when it hits
theaters on August 20th.

TREY SONGZ BAD REALITY SHOW RATINGS?

Trey Songz might be the hottest R&B singer out right now, but the ratings
for his BET reality show My Moment are not looking good. The series
premiered immediately following the 2010 BET Awards, but the viewership has
continued to decline, with this week’s episode attracting only 460-thousand
viewers. PerezHilton.com reports the show is the lowest rated of all shows
on cable! Ouch!

DAVID BANNER ON DEATH OF A POP STAR

Last week, we got the chance to talk to David Banner about the direction of
his upcoming album, Death Of A Pop Star. The Mississippi native told us that
unlike 2008′s The Greatest Story Ever Told:

“Everything about this album…if people are a little uncomfortable
with this album I really meant it to be that way.  I want to shake people up
like we got Martians on the cover, its purple, and pink, and green, like I
wanted to be different.”

Death Of A Pop Star, which was produced by 9th Wonder, is currently slated
for a November 9th release.

DMX’S EX WIFE EXPLAINS SEPARATION

After 13 years of marriage, DMX’s ex-wife is speaking up about what caused
the end of their relationship. Tashera Simmons explained that “he had four
other children” that she “didn’t know about.” According to DrewReports.com,
Tashera stated, “The drugs already [were] too much but then the cheating; I
didn’t even know he had time to do that.” She added, “There was just a lot
of unprotected sex and I have kids to take care of. I started thinking about
all of that and I was like, I can’t do it anymore. I felt he took me for
granted.”

FANTASIA IN SEX SCANDAL?

According to Charlotte’s NBC affiliate, Fantasia Barrino is potentially
facing a lawsuit for allegedly having an affair with a married man. A woman
named Paula Cook is accusing her estranged husband, Antwuan Cook, of making
a sex tape with the former American Idol winner. Paula claims in documents
that her husband and Fantasia have “at times recorded their illicit sexual
activity,” and since a third party can be sued for breaking up a marriage,
Fanny could be in hot water. We’ll keep you posted with further updates.

Unlike the original “Window Seat” video, Erykah Badu opted to keep her
clothes on for newly released remix video with Rick Ross. In the clip for

Melanie Fiona is hard at work on her forthcoming sophomore album,
tentatively titled The MF Files. The “It Kills Me” singer is confident about
her continued success since she’s unlike any other artist out.

“It’s the fact that as a new artist I can say, I have my album
released overseas before I have it released in America. I’ve been able to
saturate German, Swiss, Italian, French, U-K, Canadian markets before even
coming back to America. A lot of new artists don’t get that luck. They kind
of throw you to stick on the wall over here and be like ‘are you going to
work?’ and then other people buy into it but I’ve had the opportunity to be
global because of the sound that I do. So that’s the pay off for me.”

The Canadian songbird is yet to provide a release date for The MF Files.

NEW KANYE SINGLE COMING IN THREE WEEKS!

If you missed Kanye West’s recent UStream video, then you’ll be surprised to
know that he intends to drop a new single, called “Lost in the World” or

that his fourth studio album, formally titled Good Ass Job, will no longer
arrive in September. Instead, he told fans to expect the disc to land

CHRISTINA GOING TO LIVE NATION?

According to various reports, Christina Aguilera could follow Madonna, U2
and Jay-Z over at Live Nation.  Christina is currently signed to a long term
contract with RCA Records, according to her manager Irving Azoff, who
coincidentally is the executive chairman of Live Nation.  Azoff took to
Twitter to say that the singer and actress is not thinking about switching
labels, rather she’s focused on her upcoming movie, Burlesque, which comes
out in November.  He added that Live Nation is not a record company.  He
also noted that RCA is not giving up on Christina due to sluggish sales of
her latest album.  Aguilera’s Bionic album is up two spots to number 55 on
the Billboard album chart and has sold over 208-thousand copies since its
release seven weeks ago.

GAGA GOES CROWD SURFING

Lady Gaga didn’t only perform at Lollapalooza over the weekend – she went
crowd surfing too.  According to many different outlets, the “Bad Romance”
singer jumped into the crowd during the Semi Precious Weapons’ set at the
Chicago festival, wearing an outfit made of fishnets and not too much more.

EMINEM STILL NUMBER ONE ON HOT 100 CHART

Eminem’s “Love the Way You Lie” featuring Rihanna keeps pace to stay on top
of the Billboard Hot 100 chart for a third straight week.  The song also
notches its sixth week at the summit of the Digital Songs chart, selling
another 300-thousand downloads last week, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
Katy Perry’s former chart-topper, “California Gurls,” remains at number two
on the Hot 100, while her new single, “Teenage Dream,” leaps 13 spots to
number seven.  Taio Cruz’s “Dynamite” holds at number three, while
“Airplanes” by B.o.B featuring Hayley Williams stays grounded at number

We’ve just learned Rico Love is currently in Los Angeles working with on new
material with Dr. Dre and he’s expected to team up with Jamie Foxx next week
for the follow-up to 2008′s Intuition. The hit songwriter is doing big
things these days with two smash singles that he wrote are receiving major
airplay – Usher’s “There Goes My Baby” and Kelly Rowland’s dance-track
“Commander.” We can’t wait to see what Rico cooks up for Jamie’s next album,
tentatively tiled Body!

THREE SIX MAFIA RELEASES “MONEY, WEED, BLOW” VIDEO

Three Six Mafia has released the video to their newest song off of their
upcoming project, The Cocaine Mafia Mixtape.  The track is called “Money,
Weed, Blow” and features New York-based rapper French Montana.  While
there’s no official release date for The Cocaine Mafia Mixtape, you can
check out “Money, Weed, Blow” on YouTube now.

CHRISTINA AGUILERA TALKS BURLESQUE

Christina Aguilera will make her feature film debut in the film Burlesque,
opposite Kristin Bell, Cher, Stanley Tucci and Eric Dane. She told us what
made her want to take the lead role in the film.  Burlesque will

NICKI ANNOUNCES RELEASE DATE FOR DEBUT ALBUM

After appearing as a feature on multiple songs for numerous artists, Nicki Minaj is prepared to stand alone on her untitled debut album. The leading lady of Young Money just announced on Twitter that her upcoming disc will be
available on November 23rd. Led by her number one single “Your Love,” the project will receive contributions from mega producer Swizz Beatz. The hitmaker recently told MTV News, “Nicki is an amazing writer. She wrote her
own choruses, and she’s doing some amazing things.” <WM>

*       Nicki recently told MTV that she intends to introduce her alter ego, “Roman Zolanski,” on the project.

EMINEM NUMBER ONE ON DIGITAL SONGS CHART

Eminem’s “Love The Way You Lie” featuring Rihanna stays on top of the
Digital Songs chart for a second straight week with over 280-thosuand
downloads, according to Nielsen SoundScan figures.  The biggest gainer on
the tally is Taio Cruz’s “Dynamite,” which shoots up seven spots to number
three, shifting over 189-thousand downloads.  Kanye West scores the highest
new entry on the chart with “Power” bowing at number 14, selling 80-thosuand

THE DREAM GRABS NUMBER FOUR ON BILLBOARD

The Dream’s third studio album, Love King, debuted at the number four spot on the Billboard 200 chart. The disc, which is rumored to be his final effort, managed to sell over 58-thousand copies in its opening week. When we

50 CENT DISSES DIDDY, DIRTY MONEY AND CASSIE?

Never the one to back down, 50 Cent continues to beef with Diddy. During a
recent interview, 50 took aim at Dirty Money and stated, “Puffy is a bitch.
He wanted to be the hot bitch in his group… You know how an ugly bitch
surrounds herself with pretty girls? Well, he is the pretty bitch with the
other girls around him.” The G-Unit leader also sent photos of Cassie with
another man just to piss Diddy off. This comes just weeks after the mogul
fired warning shots at Fif during the post show for the BET Awards, telling

JANELLE MONAE ADDRESSES GAY RUMORS

Similar to Queen Latifah, Janelle Monae has become the latest artist whose
sexuality is being questioned. While promoting The ArchAndroid album, the
“Tightrope” singer told Rolling Stone, “The lesbian community has tried to
claim me. But I only date androids. Nothing like an android-they don’t cheat
on you.” She failed to give a clear answer to if she prefers men or women.

BUN B RECALLS DRAKE IN-STUDIO SESSION

If you’ve seen Bun B’s tracklisting for his upcoming Trill O.G. album, you probably noticed that Drake is the only artist who appears twice. We caught up with the rap legend to talk about what it was like recording with Drizzy
in studio. Here’s what he told us:

“He’s a good dude, man. He’s a great spirit and, he’s definitely an incredible artist. As a writer I already know he’s going to really come with some top notch lyrics. And, he knows that I’m going to come with some topnotch lyrics so we kind of step each other’s game up so to speak. That’s why it’s always good to be around each other because we bring the best out of each other, I think. It’s a good chemistry. It’s a good thing to have.“

Trill O.G. also received contributions from T-Pain, Young Jeezy, Trey Songz, Raekwon and production from The Neptunes. The LP is set to arrive on August 10th. <WM>

NICKI SPEAKS ON NUMBER ONE BILLBOARD SINGLE

After learning that her “Your Love” single topped Billboard’s Rap Chart, Nicki Minaj told MTV News she was shocked. The fem-cee revealed she wasn’t “planning on putting the song out at all” and was initially “upset” that it
leaked without being mixed or finished. Nevertheless, the song is the first to reach number one by a female lyricist since Missy Elliott’s “Work It” in 2002 – which spent 12 weeks at number one. Congrats! Fans can expect a video
for “Your Love” soon! <WM>

EMINEM TOPS BILLBOARD ALBUM CHART

Eminem’s Recovery tops the Billboard album chart for the second straight week, selling 313-thousand copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The album has sold over 1.1-million copies in the U-S in just two weeks.  It marks the
first release to sell in excess of 300-thosuand for multiple weeks since Susan Boyle’s I Dreamed a Dream racked up five 300-thousand-plus weeks last December.  Drake’s Thank Me Later remains at number two, selling
105-thousand copies.  The Twilight Saga: Eclipse soundtrack leaps seven spots to number three, following the release of the highly anticipated film. The-Dream’s Love King bows at number four, the Now 34 compilation holds at
number five and Justin Bieber’s My World 2.0 climbs two spots to number six. 3Oh!3′s Streets of Gold debuts at number seven, Jack Johnson’s To The Sea falls one spot to number eight, Miley Cyrus’ Can’t Be Tamed drops six
notches to number nine and Lady Antebellum’s Need You Now rises two spots to number ten.  <JC>

We’ve just learned an aspiring artist named Vincent Peters has reportedly filed a lawsuit against Kanye West. The up- and-coming Virginia rapper claims ‘Ye stole “Stronger” from him back in 2006. Peters is seeking an

DMX RELEASED FROM ARIZONA PRISON

After serving four months of his six-month sentence, Earl “DMX” Simmons has officially been released early from prison. The troubled rapper’s jail time stems from violating his probation on five different occasions.  Within one

Lady Gaga performed what may have been the biggest concert of her life on Tuesday night, as she played the first of three sold-out shows at Madison Square Garden in her hometown of New York City.  According to

LADY GAGA CHANGES GRAMMY RULES

Lady Gaga’s exclusion from the Best New Artist category at this year’s GRAMMYS has caused the Recording Academy to change eligibility requirements for the next ceremony.  Although Lady Gaga was one of the most popular new
artists of 2009, she was ineligible for a best new artist nomination because her hit “Just Dance” had been nominated for Best Dance Recording in 2008. The rules stated that once an artist is nominated for a GRAMMY, they cannot
be nominated for Best New Artists the following year.  Recording Academy President Neil Portnow told us that there would be changes so that this situation would not repeat itself.  The rule change allows previous GRAMMY
nominees to be eligible, as long as the artist hasn’t released an entire album and hasn’t won a GRAMMY. <JC>
