B.O.B. TO OPEN FOR JAY-Z AND EMINEM
According to Billboard.com, B.o.B has landed a great opening gig. The
“Airplanes” rapper is expected to warm up the stage for the first two Jay-Z
and Eminem concerts at Comerica Park in Detroit. Bobby Ray’s manager
recently tweeted that he will be at the Tiger Stadium tonight getting the
crowd ready for the two of hip hop’s biggest rappers.

FANTASIA NUMBER TWO BILLBOARD 200 CHART
Fantasia managed to earn the highest charting debut of her career despite
her recent suicide attempt. The American Idol alumna’s third album, Back to
Me, debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 with sales surpassing
117-thousand copies. The singer recently told us why everyone will be able
to enjoy the disc in its entirety. Fans can expect the
second official single off the effort to be “I’m Doin’ Me” instead of the
previously confirmed song “Man of The House.”
KANYE TO DROP MOVIE WITH NEW ALBUM
MTV News reports Kanye West has filmed a movie in Prague to accompany his
upcoming album, Dark Twisted Fantasy. ‘Ye recently tweeted: “Been shooting
16 hour days. … I’m so excited. … It’s like a child’s delusions become
reality.” It’s still unknown what the flick is about.
YOUNG BUCK GOES BANKRUPT, SUING 50 CENT?
Young Buck recently filed for bankruptcy due to owing 300-thousand in back
taxes. The former G-Unit rapper is not only looking to get his finances in
order, but he’s looking to sue 50 Cent, G-Unit Records and ex-business
manager Bruce Seckendorf for breach of contract. His publicist told
XXLMag.com that “there is no lawsuit filed yet.” We’ll keep you posted.
BEYONCE STILL MANAGED BY HER FATHER
There have been conflicting reports suggesting that Beyonce and her
father/manager, Mathew Knowles, have ended their working relationship due to
personal issues. However, a rep from Music World Entertainment has released
the following statement, “Contrary to false rumors online, Beyoncé and her
manager Mathew Knowles unequivocally have had and continue to have a close
personal and business relationship. Mathew Knowles is the sole and exclusive
manager of Beyoncé.” There you have it.
T.I., RICK ROSS “PLEDGE ALLEGIANCE TO THE SWAG”
T.I and Rick Ross have recorded a new song together called “Pledge

According to MTV News, Lauryn Hill has opened up about her highly
anticipated album. The reclusive singer, who hasn’t released a studio effort
in 12 years, says she’s “getting closer” to completing it. In addition, Hill
adds that she “respects the different sounds that [she's] hearing” however
“in terms of collaborations, that’s not even something I’ve been thinking

JAMIE FOXX ISN’T SURPRISED BY DRAKE’S SUCCESS
Drake’s debut album, Thank Me Later, has sold an additional 20-thousand
copies this week and currently sits at the number 18 spot on the Billboard
200 chart. The disc has sold over a million copies, but Jamie Foxx recently
told us that he always knew Drizzy was going to be an undeniable force in
hip hop. The rap star is scheduled to perform during
the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards on September 12th at 9 PM Eastern on MTV.
TREY SONGZ EXCITED TO RELEASE PPP
After releasing “Bottoms Up” and “Can’t Be Friends,” many fans might be
wondering what’s the vibe of Trey Songz upcoming album, Passion, Pain &
Pleasure. Similar to his previous effort Ready, the crooner explained how
the title really explains the direction of the project.
Tremaine’s Passion, Pain & Pleasure is due out September 14th.
KELLY PRICE EXPLAINS SUPER GROUP SPLIT
During an interview with SingersRoom.com, Kelly Price revealed what happened
to the Queen Project with Tamia and Deborah Cox. The soulful singer
explained that even though “the entire album was recorded in two weeks,” the
group failed because “too many people involved and the end result was we
were unable to get it done in a time frame that would have allowed us to
work the record and tour properly.” She hopes they’ll get to “release it at
a later date with proper touring,” but Kelly is focused on dropping her
first album in five years very soon.
