BUSTA RHYMES CAN SEE AN ACTING CAREER FOR NICKI

Before Nicki Minaj revealed that she wanted to one day act alongside Will Smith, Busta Rhymes told SOHH.com that he can easily see her making the transition to film. The rapper said of the Young Money starlet, “She’s a new artist. She’s doing more than what new artists do as far as being everywhere and having the success and acknowledgment that she’s had…the next thing that I would like to see her do is films.” Only time will tell when the fem-cee makes her Hollywood debut.

WATCH THE THRONE RELEASE DATE?

According to TheSource.com, Jay-Z and Kanye West’s forthcoming joint album, Watch The Throne, will arrive next month. The 10-track disc, which includes contributions from Hov’s wife, Beyonce, and Bruno Mars, will apparently be released on July 4th.

GINUWINE GEARS UP FOR REALITY TV?

SingersRoom.com reports Ginuwine has decided to let cameras invade his private life for a new reality show called Ginuwine: A New Beginning! The upcoming series will follow the R&B crooner as he juggles his career, being a dad to four daughters and a husband to former rapper, Sole. B.O.B IS “EXCITED” ABOUT SOPHOMORE ALBUM 

B.o.B has announced that he’s begun the follow-up to his debut album, B.o.B. Presents: The Adventures of Bobby Ray. He told MLive.com that he’s “really excited” because he feels like he’s in “[his] groove with this one.” He added, “I’m more aware of myself as an instrument, as a sound. It’s more intentful.” The Grand Hustle artist says there’s “a lot of the thought process [of working on an album] goes into actually performing it.” No release date has been revealed just yet.

MARY J BLIGE HAS BIGGEST R&B SONG…PERIOD 

For anyone who doubts if Mary J. Blige still has it, we’d like to fill you in on something that you probably didn’t know about her. The Queen of Hip Hop Soul’s smash hit, “Be Without You,” is the most successful song in the history of the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. The powerful ballad spent 15 weeks at number one and remained on the chart for 75 weeks! With that said, we’re certainly looking forward to MJB’s upcoming tenth studio album, My Life Too, The Journey Continues, which is slated for a September release.

ALICIA KEYS INSPIRED BY AALIYAH

As Alicia Keys gears up to release the collector’s edition of her debut album, songs in A minor, the singer is reflecting on some of her biggest hits. She told Rap-Up.com that “If I Ain’t Got You” actually “came together right after Aaliyah passed away. It was such a sad time and no one wanted to believe it. It just made everything crystal clear to me—what matters, and what doesn’t.” In addition, she recalled working with Kanye West for “You Don’t Know My Name.” Alicia described Yeezy as “this new and extremely eager guy who had so much to prove” and added that he was “just as much a ball of fire then as he is now.” Be sure to pick up the10th anniversary edition of songs in A minor on June 28th.

In the newest issue of Glamour Magazine, Adele continues to let fans know how much she likes Beyonce. The “Rolling In The Deep” singer said of the diva’s music, “It makes my heart flicker. I’ve been a fan of hers since I was ten. Destiny’s Child was my life. I love her.” Be sure to look out for Bey’s much anticipated album, 4, which drops on June 28th!

HAVE YOU HEARD OF KREAYSHAWN?

Thanks to her catchy single, “Gucci Gucci,” Kreayshawn has landed a record deal with Columbia Records. If you haven’t heard of her, the 21-year-old rapper hails from East Oakland, California and she’s affiliated with Lil B and Odd Future. The fem-cee, who was rumored to have received an advance of a million dollars, said in a statement, “I’m excited to work with my new Columbia family. They understand my vision and are going to let me continue everything I’ve been doing. My hope is to inspire others to be young, wild and free.”

If teasing Ja Rule about his pending prison sentence wasn’t enough, 50 Cent has been accused of allegedly hacking into Ja’s Twitter account. We knew something was strange when an imposter posted “f**k @Irv Gotti that n***a ruined my career, all the drugs, raping me on royalties, now I’m going to jail for two years” followed by “after ‘Wankster’ dropped I started using heroin heavy.” A few hours after the imposter wrote, “I went from doing shows on MTV to doing shows in Rikers [Island], ain’t that a bitch,” Rule gained control of his account and posted: “This coward 50 Cent hacking into my page is some sucker s**t. That’s why [he’ll] never be half the man [his] mother is.” When will this drama ever end?

“I AM T-PAIN” #1 APP

During the Billboard Music App Awards, the I Am T-Pain download was named the Best Artist-Based Application. The app allows iPhone users to sing in auto tune and upload their song to Facebook or Twitter to share. The app also provides a free download of “Motivated,” which is off the entertainer’s prEREVOLVEr The Mixtape. In related news, fans can expect his fourth studio album, rEVOLVEr, to drop next year.

JIM JONSIN INTRODUCES ROCK REBEL RACING

This Saturday, producer Jim Jonsin and Champion Motorsport have teamed up to introduce a combined event for motor cars and music called Rebel Rock Racing. The show, which will include a performance by Miami native Pitbull, will take place at the Palm Beach International Raceway starting at 7 PM Eastern.

BIEBER WANTS A GRAMMY

Justin Bieber is nominated for two GRAMMY Awards, including the coveted Best New Artist and Best Pop Vocal Album for My World 2.0. The 16-year-old told Billboard that winning a GRAMMY is at the top of his list for goals in 2011. Beiber is up against fellow Canadian Drake in the Best New Artist category. WILL.I.AM STILL NOT HAPPY WITH MJ RELEASE

According to Rolling Stone, Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am is still not happy about the release of the posthumous Michael Jackson album. Last month, will.i.am went public disapproving of the album, saying Jackson was such a perfectionist about his songs and that releasing any of them without his approval would dishonor the singer’s memory. Will recently told Rolling Stone he had a conversation with Jackson a few years ago when his song “Hold My Hand” was leaked. Will said Michael was very upset that people heard the track before it was finished.

Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream” tops E! Online’s Top Ten Jams of 2010. The song edged out Usher’s “OMG” featuring will.i.am, which took the number two spot, followed by Rihanna’s “Rude Boy,” Cee-Lo’s “F**k You” and Taio Cruz’s “Dynamite.” Lady Gaga and Beyonce are also on the list with “Telephone” and Ke$ha comes in at number ten with her latest single, “We R Who We R.”

According to TMZ, Faith Evans has copped a plea that won’t involve jail time for her August DUI arrest. The singer, who just released her Something About Faith LP, will only have to complete 36 months of probation, do a three-month alcohol program and pay 300 dollars in fines. Considering how bad this could have been, Faye definitely got off easy.

NEW MJ SONG DEBUTS ON PING

A new Michael Jackson song has debuted on iTunes’ social networking site, Ping. The ballad “Much Too Soon” is the final track off the posthumous album titled Michael, which will be released in two weeks. The song follows the Jackson duet with Akon on “Hold My Hand,” which debuted at number 84 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart last week. According to the tune’s description on Ping, “Much Too Soon” was “written at the time of ‘Thriller,’” and Jackson “always liked the song but never found the right home for it.” Michael is set to arrive on December 14th.

CHRISTINA’S NEW BEAU?

Christina Aguilera’s new relationship appears to be heating up fast, as sources have reportedly spotted the couple hanging out in Hollywood and travelling to New York City over the Thanksgiving weekend together. According to People.com, Aguilera spent the weekend with her rumored beau, Matt Rutler, who worked as a set assistant on her new movie, Burlesque. Witnesses spotted the pair partying at the Abbey in West Hollywood on November 24th before Aguilera spent her Thanksgiving Day with friends in Los Angeles. According to the site, the pair flew to the East Coast and visited Rutler’s family home in Rhode Island, where Aguilera met his mother. Her two-year-old son Max spent the holiday weekend with X-tina’s soon to be ex-husband, Jordan Bratman. Aguilera filed for divorce from Bratman in October.

T.I. GETS DROPPED BY AXE

According to TMZ, T.I. has officially been removed as a spokesman for Axe
body spray. A rep for the company explained in a statement, “We will no
longer feature T.I. in our promotional campaign.” The news comes just days
after Tip learned that he will head back to prison for violating the terms
of his probation.

B.O.B. NUMBER NINE ON MTV’S HOTTEST MC’S LIST

We’ve just learned B.o.B. has claimed the number nine spot on MTV’s annual
Top Ten Hottest MCs. The rap rookie’s debut album, The Adventures Of Bobby
Ray, gave birth to “Nothin’ On You” featuring Bruno Mars, “Airplanes”
featuring Hayley Williams of Paramore and “Magic” – all of which reached the
top ten on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. After opening for Jay-Z and Eminem
at Comerica Park in Detroit, it’s clear the Grand Hustle artist has
officially made it. Fans can expect the final list to be revealed on Sunday,
October 24th on MTV2.

MARIAH TO APPEAR ON EXTREME MAKE OVER

MTV News confirms Mariah Carey made a surprise visit to Baker High School in
Florida to announce that cheerleading coach Finis Gaston will appear on
Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. Christmas has come early for the Gaston
family, who will head to Disney World until their new home is completed.
Viewers can watch this special episode when it airs on December 12th on ABC.

KANYE CONTEMPLATED SUICIDE

According to the Associated Press, Kanye West may have been riding high
during the L-A premiere of his new film, Runaway, but he revealed that there
were times when he contemplated suicide. The controversial rapper did not
specify when he considered taking his own life but he told the audience
right before the screening that he “will not give up on life again.” Ye
stated, “There’s so many people that will never get the chance to have their
voice heard. I do it for them.” You will be able to watch the rapper’s film
debut at 8 PM Eastern on MTV and BET on Saturday.

rumored beef is non-existent. Ci Ci added, “We’re women, supporting women,
uplifting each other.” There you have it.

WAKA’S BOOKING AGENT GETS SUED

According to TheBoomBox.com, Waka Flocka Flame’s booking agent is facing a
million dollar lawsuit for a missed concert appearance. In June 2009, the
“No Hands” rapper was expected to take the stage at a Birmingham night club,
but he never showed up. An Alabama-based promotions company, G.D.B., is
seeking over six figures in punitive damages and 60-thousand in deposits
from the booking agent and Waka’s manager/mom, Debra Antney. We’ll keep you

BEYONCE LAUNCHES TEMPORARY TATTOO LINE

According to NYMag.com, Beyonce Knowles has teamed with an airbrush make-up
company, Temptu, to create a new temporary tattoo line. The basic ink kits
will hit stores November 1st through Bey’s fashion company with her mom
Tina, House of Dereon. Tina said in a statement that the tattoos will
resemble “a Sixties-pinup-girl meets-futuristic-biker-chick theme.” She
explained all designs “are waterproof and designed to last for two to five
days.”

Hip-hop power couple Jay-Z and Beyonce will reportedly welcome their first child together as new reports claim the Grammy-winning performer is pregnant. The singer’s close associates gave already confirmed the pregnancy.Rumors have swirled in the past about a pregnancy for singing sensation Beyonce Knowles and husband/rapper Jay Z. But this time, the rumors may be true. US Weekly magazine reported on Wednesday that ‘B’ -as Jay Z often refers to her- is in fact pregnant. Jay’s former Def Jam boss and Beyonce’s sister have sent their well-wishes to the couple.

“Jay has been all about family since I met him, and he’s always going to be,” record executive Kevin Liles, who has known the rapper for years, tells Us. “I wish them the best.” Knowles’ sister Solange — and mom to Julez, 6 — agrees. “She’s got the most beautiful heart,” she tells Us of her big sis. “She’ll be a great mom.” (Us Magazine)

Earlier this year, Jay-Z said he would like to one day become a father.

“I’d like to be a dad some day and I love children. You start your life with expectations and dreams, then life unfolds and it doesn’t always turn out the way you imagined. Life is what it is. And at this point it’s up to somebody else. I don’t think there is such thing as a perfect relationship. It is unrealistic and hoping for too much. I don’t think it is worth all that pressure. During a recent interview, Willow Smith spilled that she would love to
collaborate with Lady Gaga. Will and Jada Pinkett Smith’s daughter admires
that the pop icon is “just so amazing, she’s a free person. She’s a free
girl, baby.” Just one day after releasing the video for “Whip My Hair,” the
nine-year-old singer revealed why she loves being signed to Jay-Z’s Roc
Nation label. She stated, “It’s amazing being on that label because it’s all
about having fun and being creative and doing what you want to do inside.”

dollars in unpaid taxes. The R&B singer failed to pay income taxes to the

the case was never granted. He is yet to comment on the liens filed.

NE-YO PENS SONGS FOR BIEBER, UNDERWOOD

Billboard.com has learned Ne-Yo is not only putting the finishing touches on
his upcoming album, Libra Scale, but he’s also writing for other artists.
The “One In A Million” crooner explained that he’s “trying to expand, trying
to do it all” by penning songs for pop stars like including Justin Bieber,
Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, Rihanna and Beyonce. Ne-Yo says of the Bieber
track that he delivered “tangible records, the kind of records that will
grow with [Justin] and allow his fans to grow with him.” The songwriter is
also looking to get studio time with Jennifer Hudson and Monica before he
releases Libra Scale on November 22nd.

MARC ANTHONY FORCED TO RESCHEDULE CONCERT

According to the Associated Press, Marc Anthony was forced to cancel a show
in Puerto Rico on Sunday night due to a severe sore throat.  A doctor
ordered the singer to rest his voice for 48 hours.  He’s set to take the
stage tonight for his rescheduled show at the Puerto Rico Coliseum. Anthony
performed a sold-out concert on Saturday night at the same venue. He was
joined on stage by his wife, Jennifer Lopez, for the final number of the
night, a duet of “Preciosa.”

DID GAGA ALMOST GET MARRIED IN GREECE?

Lady Gaga just finished a vacation in Greece with her rumored boyfriend, Luc
Carl, and apparently, the couple went through a “spiritual commitment”
ceremony while on the island of Crete.  A source told Grazia magazine that
it was “their first step towards marriage,” and that they “exchanged rings”
and are planning a “big Italian-style wedding” sometime down the road.

NICKI MINAJ SETS BILLBOARD RECORD

We’ve just learned Nicki Minaj has solidified her importance in hip hop by having a record number of entries on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Lil Wayne’s protégé laid verses on seven songs that not only charted but also became the highest selling downloads of 2010. According to Nielsen Soundscan, the tracks include Ludacris’ “My Chick Bad” (1,246,000), Lil Wayne’s “Knockout” (519k), Trey Songz’ “Bottoms Up” (518k), Usher’s “Lil Freak” (508k), Sean Kingston’s “Letting Go (Dutty Love)” (377k) and Jay Sean’s “It Ain’t The End” (355k). The news comes a month after the rapper was given her first number one rap single, “Your Love,” on Billboard’s rap chart. Look for Pink Friday on November 23rd!

LUPE FIASCO GETS RELEASE DATE

Lupe Fiasco might have started a new trend. Shortly after his fans planned to rally outside of Atlantic Records in protest of the company for shelving his Lasers album, the rapper has been given the green light! Fans will be able to purchase Lasers on March 8th.

What’s more surprising is Busta recalling to MTV News the day he actually battled Hova in the cafeteria. The rapper agreed to step to Jay because, “I knew how to freak it, and he knew how to freak it.” However, Bussa-Bus says Jay “kind of got the best of the situation. I got to give it up. KERI FLATTERED BY KANYE COMPLIMENTS

Rap-Up.com has learned that Keri Hilson was “taken aback” by Kanye West revealing on Twitter that he loved her debut project, describing her upcoming album, No Boys Allowed, as “super crazy.” The Atlanta native explained that she “didn’t know he even had my album, so it was an incredible honor.” After recruiting Ye on “Knock You Down,” Miss Keri Baby shared, “We did a bunch of stuff. We just clowned around, played around in the studio. A lot of the stuff we did had no aim. We just kind of created.” It’s unknown if their recent collaboration will make the final tracklist for No Boys Allowed, which will land in stores on November 30th.

B.O.B TALKS SOPHOMORE ALBUM

According to XXLMag.com, B.o.B. is currently recording the follow-up to his impressive debut, B.o.B Presents: The Adventures of Bobby Ray. The Grand Hustle artist didn’t want to give too many details away but he promised that the forthcoming project will not be released “unless it’s better than the last album.” In related news, Bobby is expected to perform in Fresno, California for his Shooting Stars tour. Justin Timberlake thinks vinyl records sound better than digitalized tunes. The 29-year-old pop musician and actor told German newspaper Frankfurter Rundschau on Thursday that he loves putting on records featuring oldies from the Beach Boys and early Beatles, claiming they “sound warmer” and “more vintage” than digital versions.

 CEE-LO GETS COVERED

NME reports that Band of Horses recently covered Cee-Lo Green’s track “Georgia.” The band reportedly recorded the song with the University of Georgia Redcoat Marching Band. Singer Ben Bridewell says the song pays tribute to the state, which he describes as a “second home.” Green also recently covered the Band of Horses song “No One’s Gonna Love You” and the two tracks are gonna be released on a spilt seven-inch single. PITBULL PREPS PLANET PIT

Pitbull has had his share of success lately with tracks like the “Jersey Shore” soundtrack song “I Like It” with pal Enrique Iglesias, and “Hey Baby (Drop It to the Floor)” featuring T-Pain.  The Miami-based rapper has tapped some big names for his upcoming album, Planet Pit, which is due in December.  Pitbull collaborated with Akon, Shakira, and Iglesias plus he has tracks produced by Rodney Jerkins, Polow Da Don, David Guetta and Pharrell Williams.  Planet Pit arrives in stores on December 8th.

PITBULL TALKS SUCCESS

Armando Christian Pérez, better known as Pitbull, has released a new single, “Hey Baby (Drop It to the Floor)” featuring T-Pain, which debuts at number 51 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart this week.  The versatile rapper has been a force in the game since releasing his 2005 debut album, Money Is A Major Issue.  Pitbull told us he attributes his success to not following the pack. 

“Everybody went right I went left, soon as everybody started going left I’m going back right, just trying to be innovative trying to be creative, trying to do thing that people are scared to do, just thinking out the box.”

Pitbull will release his first all Spanish album, Armando, on November 2nd.  His Planet Pit album which features “Hey Baby (Drop it to the Floor)” will arrive in stores in December. 

SHONTELLE AND RIHANNA HOOK UP

According to Rap-Up.com, Shontelle recently linked up with her childhood friend Rihanna to pen the track “Man Down” for Ri’s fifth album, Loud.   The Barbadian natives went into the studio together to record the track right after one of Rihanna’s concerts.  Shontelle said RiRi walked off the stage and right into the studio bus to get to work.  She added that the song is “very dramatic” and was easy to write based on the duo’s comfort level, which came from them growing up together.

MJ AND P!NK TOP MYSPACE POLL

Michael Jackson and P!nk have been named the best solo artists of all time, according to a MySpace poll.  The late hitmaker beat Justin Timberlake and Bob Marley, who came in second and third respectively, to land the top male singer title, while Pink topped Lady Gaga, Madonna and Britney Spears as the number one pop princess. AC/DC were lauded as the best band, beating out Nirvana and The Red Hot Chili Peppers. 

FORMER GIRLICOUS SINGER PLEADS GUILTY

Former Girlicious singer Natalie Meija has pleaded guilty to felony cocaine possession and has received a deferred judgment that could result in the charge being dismissed.  Mejia was arrested on March 9th in Glendale, California after police said they found 13 bags of cocaine in her Gucci purse during a traffic stop.  According to the Associated Press, Mejia will likely be required to undergo counseling and attend classes for the next 18 months. If she completes the deferred judgment program, the felony charge will be dismissed.

An auction of some 100 items of Michael Jackson memorabilia has fetched more than one million dollars, according to the Associated Press.  The auction took place on Saturday in China and drew bidders from around the world.  A basketball autographed by the late singer and Michael Jordan took in 245-thousand dollars.

Jay-Z and Coldplay’s Chris Martin are ready to Viva Las Vegas. The rap and rock duo, who have a history of performing together, are slated to headline an invite-only New Year’s Eve gig at the brand new Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas for a multi-million dollar paycheck.

The lavish show is being handled by party planner Colin Cowie (Oprah, Lil Wayne) with plans for each artist to play his own material before teaming up for a joint set broadcast on the hotel’s 65-foot marquee overlooking the Vegas Strip. The pals recently performed together at Jay-Z’s “Home & Home” concert at Yankee Stadium.

Rumor has it that Hov’s wife Beyoncé is also scouting out a location to play a New Year’s Eve performance so she won’t be far from her hubbie.

JEREMIH PREPS SOPHOMORE EFFORT

After releasing the lead Ludacris-assisted single “I Like,” fans are eager
to find out what Jeremih is cooking up on his sophomore album. According to
BallerStatus.com, the “Birthday Sex” crooner recently gave a preview of his
new album, titled All About, at an exclusive event in New York City. The
disc reportedly delivers great baby-making songs, like “Down on Me,” as well
as upbeat cuts, “X’s and O’s.” The effort is slated to land in stores on
September 28th via Def Jam.

?UESTLOVE TO RELEASE A BOOK?

According to his official website, ?uestlove has announced that he’s looking
to release a book called Mommy, What’s A ?uestlove. The Roots drummer will
provide readers with a deep perspective on his “music, life and famous
friends.” OkayPlayer.com reports that there is no confirmed release date for
the novel, however it will be distributed through onGrand Central
Publishing.

 BRUNO MARS ARRESTED FOR COCAINE POSSESSION

Following his arrest early Sunday morning in Las Vegas, Bruno Mars was all smiles in this newly released mug shot. More details have emerged on the “Just the Way You Are” singer’s run-in with the law.

Though it was previously revealed that he was busted for narcotics possession in the bathroom of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, TMZ has learned that the hitmaker was in possession of 2.6 grams of cocaine, discovered on his person after security guards confronted him.

Bruno was released shortly after his arrest, heading down to Texas to do radio promo. “Texas is dope! Im in dallas rite now looking foward to meeting some folks @ the radio stations. tune in for a special live performance,” he tweeted.

The setback comes amidst a busy promo schedule for Mars. He will release his debut album Doo-Wops & Hooligans on Oct. 5, followed by his tour kickoff with Maroon 5 and OneRepublic, and his “SNL” debut on Oct. 9.

T.I. TO APPEAR BEFORE JUDGE

According to TMZ, T.I. is scheduled to appear before a judge in Atlanta
after traces of codeine were allegedly found in the rapper’s car. The outlet
is also saying that Tip reportedly tested positive for the substance, which
was said to have been found in Styrofoam cups in his vehicle. In addition,
Clifford is charged with violating two other agreements of his probation
during the stop, including possession of ecstasy and associating with a
convicted felon. We previously reported the “Got You Back” rapper and his
wife, Tiny, were arrested two weeks ago for drug possession.

KID CUDI HAD DRUG PROBLEM?

In the October/November 2010 issue of Complex magazine, Kid Cudi admits to
doing cocaine in the past to help him get through the day. Scott stated the
drug helped him during interviews when “people wanted to know a lot about
[his] personal life.” To mask his coke usage, Cudi would “smoke weed” to
calm himself down. However, the rapper says he QUOTE “never thought it was a
problem, but I was definitely high-fiving death a couple of times.”  Fans
can expect the emcee to address topics like this on his next studio album,
Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager.

B.O.B. BEGINS WORKING ON NEXT ALBUM

B.o.B recently revealed that he’s already begun working on his sophomore
album. We previously reported that 50 Cent was looking to work with the
Grand Hustle artist, however the Atlanta native filled us in on the
likelihood of that happening (See Related Cut #1). No further details are
known about the follow-up to this year’s The Adventures Of Bobby Ray.  We’ll

NICKI MINAJ’s UNRELEASED ACTING FOOTAGE

Young Money rapper Nicki Minaj‘s theatrical debut has hit the Internet with the leak of her movie role in the 2009 film, Stuck on Broke. You may already be familiar with her aliases Roman Zolanski, Nicki Lewinsky, and Harajuku Barbie. Now Nicki Minaj takes on a new role in this lost scene from the 2009 independent movie Stuck on Broke starring OJ Da Juiceman. A stripped-down Minaj, seen without her colorful wigs, plays the part of Veronica in this emotional scene, cut from the flick after she was unable to shoot additional scenes due to scheduling conflicts. “We recognized Nicki’s talent early, [but] unfortunately it didn’t work out,” said the film’s producers. As of now, Minaj is focused on the November 23rd release of her debut album, Pink Friday. Minaj definitely has a lot to say about the politics of being a woman in the 21st-century music biz. “Everybody knows I can go out and pick a dude and date him,” she says. “But I want to do what people think I can’t do, which is have the number 1 album in the country and be the first female rapper to sell records like dudes in this day and age.”

NICKI KEEPS MUM ON PINK FRIDAY FEATURES

Nicki Minaj has already collaborated with big-name artists like Kanye West,
Lil Wayne, Mariah Carey and Usher, but she still hasn’t released her debut
album. The “Your Love” rapper is hard at work on her upcoming Pink Friday
effort, however she wouldn’t spill on the guest features she’s already
locked in. Nicki told us that she’s very pleased with
her position in the industry. Looks like we’ll have to
wait until November 23rd to see who contributed to her highly anticipated
effort!

LUDACRIS TALKS LUDAVERSAL

According to Billboard.com, Ludacris revealed that he’s just getting started
on his upcoming album, Ludaversal. The “How Low” rapper explained that while
he didn’t “want to give too much information in terms of direction” for the
follow-up to Battle Of The Sexes, he doesn’t “discriminate” when it comes to
working with “hungry, up-and-coming” talent.  He goes on to promise fans
that more information surrounding the next LP will come out “soon.” In the
meantime, you can expect Luda to drop the visual for his fourth single,
“Everybody Drunk” with Lil Scrappy.

BRUNO MARS TALKS B.o.B

Bruno Mars teamed up with B.o.B for his breakthrough single “Nothin’ on
You.”  The song has sold over two-million digital downloads and peaked at
number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart back in May.  Bruno told us the
story about how and B.o.B two hooked up.

“I knew he was a talented dude, when I met him, before ‘Nothin’ on
You.’  I met B.o.B actually at the studio and he was playing a guitar,
playing Coldplay and John Mayer on the guitar and he started rapping and
exchanging the guitar and just playing back and forth and we just got into a
music conversation and I told him, ‘I would love to work with you, let’s try
to make some time to see what happens.’”

RIHANNA TALKS SONGWRITING PROCESS

Rihanna recently premiered a new single called “Only Girl (In The World)”
from her upcoming fifth studio album, Loud. The upbeat song reflects the
positive space that she’s in these days and is a clear departure from the
darker material on last year’s Rated R. The pop princess is looking forward
to contributing creatively and explained how she approached songwriting in
general. You can expect Loud to drop sometime in November.

RUSSELL SUES FOR MILLIONS

According to TheBoomBox.com, Russell Simmons has decided to file a lawsuit
against a Hong Kong-based company called Li & Fung for breach of contract.
The mogul is seeking 55-million dollars in damages because Li & Fung failed
to distribute his Phat Farm clothing brands overseas. Simmons explained in a
statement, “I have taken this action to protect my partnerships with
retailers and recover millions in damages on behalf of my brands and to
protect my name and reputation in the industry.” He added, “I’ve built
successful groundbreaking businesses in music, apparel, television, film,
jewelry, games and multiple charities and causes.”

During an interview with SingersRoom.com, Beyonce opened up about tapping
into her sensual side when she’s performing on stage. Jay-Z’s wife says she
doesn’t “think about it too much…I’m just free. I can express my
sensuality; I can express my pain, vulnerability, my strength, all of those
things.” The multi-talented singer stated the key to her success is
remaining “competitive” with herself, but she explained she isn’t “a
competitive person who walks in thinking how I can compete with them,

JENNIFER HUDSON A FREE MASON?

SingersRoom.com reports Jennifer Hudson’s brother-in-law is reportedly
spreading rumors that the GRAMMY Award winning singer used to be a Free
Mason. A man named Gregory King, who claims to be the father of Hudson’s
deceased nephew, Julian King, alleges that Jen “is supposed to be a Free
Mason…She supposedly has sacrificed some things in order to get where
she’s at.” He added, “Whatever is in the dark, will come to the light.”
Gregory is an aspiring rapper and posted a video of himself talking about
J-Hud. 

NEW JENNIFER LOPEZ

According to ThatGrapeJuice.net, new material from Jennifer Lopez has
reportedly surfaced. The track is called “Run The World” and features Rick
Ross and The-Dream. The three Def Jam stars create something special, which
will be included on the singer’s upcoming rerecording of her Love?  In related news, you can expect Lopez to drop a video
for her new single “Take Care.”

TAIO CRUZ TALKS MUSIC

Taio Cruz scored a huge hit with his former number one single “Break Your
Heart” featuring Ludacris.  The U-K crooner told us music is in his heart
and soul.

“I’ve just, I don’t know, It’s just one of those things, I think
music chooses you.  I just love, loved music, loved listening to it and
loved making music.  You know, It’s kind of one of those things that you

B.o.B. TO WORK WITH 50 & DRAKE ON NEW PROJECTS

B.o.B. and Drake have reportedly put in time together and will be releasing a collaborative project in early 2011.

According to B.o.B.’s manager B Rich, 50 Cent may also be working with the Grand Hustle artist.

“By the way B.o.B & Drake met look for something out of them in Jan. Drake is cool as f*ck!!,” Rich tweeted late last week.

“50 cent was there he was cool he came up to B.o.b & said he has his CD in constant rotation & wants to do a song with B.o.B!!”

FAB AND SOULJA BOY CONFRONT EACH OTHER ON POWER 105.1

A brief feud between Fabolous and Soulja Boy, which started on Twitter, has been resolved on the radio waves of New York City. DJ Clue of Power 105 in New York conducted a brief interview where the two men settled their differences.
The entire incident started after Soulja Boy was allegedly caught in a tryst with Kat Stacks, who said the young rapper was snorting cocaine. The vixen also showed a plate of what seemed to be the illegal drug in an online video.
After the video went viral, Fabolous took to his Twitter with commentary that used humorous lingo “#stupidboyswag,” a play off Soulja Boy’s hit “Pretty Boy Swag.”

“I thought that he was taking shots at me, when it was just jokes. It was a misunderstanding, a mis-communication,” Soulja Boy said on the radio on Wednesday night. “I’m about making money.”

Fabolous was brief and agreed with his younger counterpart.

“We’re not trying to make a LeBron special…we smoothed it out and back to the money,” he said. “I know people thought it was going to be a [Manny] Pacquiao fight, but we sat down like bosses.

During the interview, DJ Clue said that the pair had exchanged information so that there would be no more misunderstandings. (All Hip Hop)
