JAY-Z WRITES SONG FOR DAUGHTER
According to RapRadar.com, Jay-Z wasted no time to record a song that captured his feelings toward his newborn, Blue Ivy Carter. The proud father released a song called “Glory,” which was produced by Pharrell Williams. On the record, Hov chronicles how the baby was conceived in Paris just before Beyonce shot her album packaging for her latest effort, 4. TYGA SPILLS ON NEXT ALBUM
During an interview with ThisIs50.com, Tyga gave new details on his next studio album. The rapper said of the disc, “It’s a theme album so it’s the first installment of the story. It’s about me becoming a king in this place called Careless World. It’s just a story from beginning to end.” The “Rack City” rapper added that the project will show “a lot of growth in the music and a lot of maturity.” We’ll keep you posted on the release date for Careless World.

TYGA ARRESTED IN VEGAS!
Young Money’s “Rack City” rapper Tyga has been racking up some driving violations that landed him in trouble over the weekend.
According to TMZ, the 22-year-old artist was arrested in Las Vegas after a routine stop for a traffic violation turned into the discovery of a warrant out for his arrest due to four other traffic-related incidents.
Previous charges include driving without a license, registration violation and unlawful acts of financial responsibility.
Tyga, real name Michael Stevenson, was taken to Clark County Detention Center and released the following day.
Stevenson was in Vegas for a tour show in support of his upcoming album Careless World: the Rise of the Last King, expected in stores January 24.
Tyga has yet to make a formal statement on the arrest.
NICKI MINAJ AWARDED FOR PINK FRIDAY SALES
Nicki Minaj has proven that she’s a force to be reckoned with. Because Nicki sold over two-million copies of her debut album, Pink Friday, Birdman rewarded the fem-cee with a lavish gift – a diamond encrusted luxurious watch. After receiving it, Nicki turned to Baby and said, “Why are you so amazing and epic?” then joked, “How many watches are you going to get me? This is too rich for me. 50 CENT APOLOGIZES TO RECORD LABEL
50 Cent has decided to apologize for his recent Twitter rant aimed against his record label. After learning that one of his new songs was leaked, the mogul accused someone from the label of intentionally putting out his material. He wrote, “Discovered a computer glitch leaked my song. Sorry to team at Interscope for overreacting! I put a lot in to this project but I don’t care if it ever comes out. Jimmy Iovine has been like a mentor for me. I just want to stay friends.” No word yet on when the follow-up to 2009’s Before I Self Destruct will arrive.

Earlier this year, Amber Rose announced that she was in the studio every day, working on new music and now we get a chance to see what she’s been cooking up.
Her debut single, ‘Fame’ dropped this morning and with a little studio magic, Amber gives her first-hand account of the ups and the downs of the glamorous life. In the new joint, she sings over a pop tune while expressing that even though people think it’s easy to be her, they have no clue. NE-YO JOINS CEE-LO’S TEAM ON THE VOICE
According to SingersRoom.com, Ne-Yo has reportedly signed on to appear on NBC’s The Voice. The crooner will join Babyface and serve as an advisor for Cee-Lo Green’s team. Ne-Yo said in a statement, “It’s about the talent. Before there was music videos; before there was the internet and all of that stuff; all you had was the voice — that was it.” The Voice premieres on February 5th.

HitsDailyDouble.com has released the projected album sales for Robin Thicke’s latest album, Love After War. The disc, which only includes one guest feature from Lil Wayne, is on pace to sell somewhere between 30 to 35-thousand copies during its first week on the chart. Elsewhere, The Roots latest album, Undun, is estimated to also sell between 30 to 35-thousand units while T-Pain’s rEVOLVEr will more than likely only pull in 25 to 28-thousand. Slow sales week indeed.
E-40 TO DROP THREE ALBUMS ON SAME DAY
According to XXLMag.com, E-40 has decided to treat his fans by releasing three albums simultaneously on the same day next year. That’s right, the projects, The Block Brochure: Welcome to the Soil 1, The Block Brochure: Welcome to the Soil 2 and The Block Brochure: Welcome to the Soil 3, are scheduled to hit stores and iTunes in March 2012. Wondering how he’s able to pull this off? The rapper explained, “I have my own label, ain’t no liaison, no middle man. I have my own distribution. I’m not signed as no artist. WILL.I.AM JOINS U-K VERSION OF THE VOICE

During an interview with XXL magazine, 50 Cent revealed that he has given advice to Dr Dre, who is still working on his oft-delayed Detox LP. After flying out to Los Angeles to contribute to the hitmaker’s effort, Curtis recalled saying to Dre, “‘Yo, you don’t have to invent nothing. All they want is a strong version of what you gave last time,’” 50 said. “They need a new version of that. It’s like Sade. She goes away for six years, and then she comes back with a new disc…it reminds you of the f**kin’ shit that she gave you before she left. There’s certain artists that have that luxury. You could go away and still be interesting enough to come for people to want to hear that effort. Dre is like that.” There’s still no release date for Detox.
T-PAIN ADDRESS DELAY OF T-WAYNE ALBUM
In case you were wondering whatever happened to Lil Wayne and T-Pain’s joint album, titled T-Wayne, the singer filled Rap-Up.com on what happened. The crooner explained, “When [Wayne] got into his little trouble, that was right at the peak of when we was like, ‘OK, let’s go. Let’s do this now.’ He finally had time, then he went to jail.” Teddy further explained, “Things happen and I’m pretty sure he’s over the whole idea now. According to Deadline.com, Ice Cube has reportedly signed on to star and produce a new show for FX called Eye for an Eye. MADONNA CONFIRMED FOR SUPER BOWL
Madonna has confirmed that she will perform during the halftime show at next year’s Super Bowl. The Queen of Pop, who is currently recording her 12th studio album, is set to perform at the event on February 5th at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Madonna could possibly perform her new single, “Give Me All Your Love,” but that has yet to be confirmed. Last year’s halftime show featured a performance from the Black Eyed Peas.
BBC CHOOSE SOUND OF 2012
Each year the BBC chooses one artist whose sound will capture the upcoming year. Previous winners include Adele, Ellie Goulding, Keane and more. The outlet has currently narrowed down 15 artists for the Sound of 2012, and the list includes dupstep producer Skrillex, rapper Frank Ocean, bands Spector and Dry the River and more. The top five will be revealed in the first week of January.
ADELE HAS HIGHEST SELLING ALBUM OF THE 21ST CENTURY IN THE U-K
Adele’s hugely successful album 21 has moved up four spots on the U-K charts, from number nine to number 5, making it the U-K’s biggest-selling album of the 21st century. That breaks the record of the late Amy Winehouse, who has sold 3.3 million copies of her Back to Black album. 21 has now sold 3.4 million in Adele’s homeland of Britain. The album has broken records around the world and has remained in the top 10 of the U-S charts since February.

BUSTA RHYMES SIGNS WITH CASH MONEY
While Google celebrated the launch of their Google Music platform in Los Angeles on Wednesday (November 16), Busta Rhymes was celebrating his brand new record deal—a joint venture with the popular search engine and the notorious Cash Money Records. Busta has been officially added to the CM roster along with New Orleans rapper, Mystikal, and MTV News caught up with him on Google’s red carpet for details on the lucrative contract. “It’s an unbelievably groundbreaking deal, [there’s] never been a deal done like this before, where the most powerful search engine in the world combines with the most powerful record company in the world,” Busta said.
“It’s just amazing to see that they understood what Busta Rhymes means to the music, what Busta Rhymes means to the culture, what Busta Rhymes means to the embodiment of authentic hip-hop,” he explained, after linking with Google to release the new single “Why Stop Now,” which features Chris Brown.
“I’m very proud to be aligned with Google, I’m extremely proud to be aligned with Cash Money, my management team, Violator, I’ve been aligned with them from day one— twenty years strong,” he continued. “It’s just exemplifying a different dynamic of greatness through this infrastructure and we’re gonna make something happen in a way that’s never happened in music before with this new deal.”
“Why Stop Now,” is the first single from Busta’s upcoming ninth album E.L.E. (Extinction Level Event) 2: End Of The World and it will be released through Google’s new music platform. RICK ROSS’ ALBUM DELAY CONFIRMED BY LABEL
Billboard.com reports Rick Ross’ upcoming album, God Forgives I Don’t, definitely won’t arrive this December. The postponement was speculated after the disc was removed from the upcoming release section on the Def Jam website, but now, the Senior VP of Marketing at Island Def Jam explained why the disc is being delayed. He stated, “I think we’re all aware of his recent health issue, and based on some of the minor setbacks with that, we weren’t able to confirm certain opportunities, because he physically wasn’t able to deal with certain things at the time. We want this to be his biggest album — we know it’s going to be his biggest album — so we did not want to pressure him into releasing an album based on the sake of a date.” No further details are known at this time.
DRAKE’S ALBUM PROJECTIONS ARE IN!
According to HitsDailyDouble.com, Drake’s sophomore album, Take Care, is on pace to top the Billboard 200 chart. The disc is projected to sell in the neighborhood of 675 to 725-thousand copies during its first week out. If this is the case, it will beat out the sales for Thank Me Later, which moved 447-thousand units. The effort will also become the third highest-selling project this year behind Lady Gaga’s Born This Way and Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter IV.

Rihanna has out-performed Beyonce on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The singers were initially tied at having 36-weeks at number one, but Rihanna’s “We Found Love” has given her an advantage and she now holds the record with 37 weeks atop the chart. Even though Fenty has surpassed Bey, it’s important to note that it took Rihanna 11 singles to achieve this feat as compared to Beyonce’s five singles.

In the upcoming December-January issue of XXL magazine, 50 Cent explained what caused the delay for his long-awaited fifth album. The rap mogul is taking his time because he feels he needs to “music that reflects what N.W.A made. I have to make music that has the moments that Nas had. I have to make music that has what Biggie offered.” As far as winning fans back, he added, “For me, I’m still up against what I’ve done…I know it’s a difficult task.” He also spilled that if all goes as planned, the follow-up to 2009’s Before I Self Destruct should arrive in January.

The issue of homosexual rappers and hip hop continues as Fat Joe recently spoke up on how he feels about it. During an interview with Vlad TV, Joey Crack stated, “I’m pretty sure I’ve done songs with gay rappers.” He feels “there’s millions of gay people in the world” and you should embrace it not hide it. In addition, he believes there is a gay mafia running hip hop and explained, “Not rappers, editorial presidents of magazines, PDs at radio stations, people that give you awards at award shows. During an interview with GQ, Drake broke down the significance of his album title, Take Care. The “Headlines” rapper was surprised that nobody asked him that yet and replied, “I came up with the name when I was on a bus in Birmingham, England, going to a show. Take Care is this thing we use in passing conversation to dismiss bullsh** like, ‘Oh, you couldn’t make it on time? Oh, take care, take care.’” Drizzy added, “We’ve always used that and then I really took so much care making this album. According to XXLMag.com, if Young Jeezy has his way, the next joint album fans should look out for would include himself alongside T.I. The rapper said of The King of The South. “I been on him [to make the LP]. We got a record for his album, it’s crazy. Late last week, the 23-year-old’s forthcoming sixth studio album had reached number nine on the iTunes album chart after the pop star unveiled track teasers from all 11 songs on the album. Talk That Talk will be released on November 21st.

Drake tells XXLMag.com that the decision had a lot to do with Kanye West and Jay-Z’s Watch The Throne offering. Drizzy explained, “Me and Wayne scrapped the idea of a collaboration album. We just agreed that it would be looked upon as… It would be sort of this competition [with Watch The Throne].” Drake added, “It would get caught in this whirlwind of hype. [Wayne] agreed. Following the news that Dr. Conrad Murray was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the Michael Jackson case, 50 Cent shared how he felt about the conviction. RICK ROSS PERFORMED AT BET HIP-HOP AWARDS
As you all may know, the BET Hip-Hop Awards were taped this weekend in Atlanta and hip hop heavy weights like Rick Ross, Wiz Khalifa, Lupe Fiasco, Wale, Roscoe Dash, Big Sean and Meek Mill all took the stage during the star-studded event. Hosted by Mike Epps, viewers at home will be able to catch the 2011 BET Hip-Hop Awards when it airs on October 11th at 8 PM Eastern.
NE-YO EXPECTING BABY BOY
According to Uptown Magazine, Ne-Yo has revealed the sex of his second child with longtime girlfriend, Monyetta Shaw. The crooner announced that he’s having his first son, who will join his 10-month-old daughter, Madilyn. The singer told the mag, “I’ve always prided myself on being able to make music that everybody can listen to and that’s not gonna change. That’s just reinforced now that I have a little girl and a little boy on the way. Yeah, I’m doing the same thing I’ve been doing.”
· Ne-Yo recently cleared up rumors that he proposed to the mother of his kids. He tweeted that he will let fans know if and when that happens.
KANYE WEST ADDED TO BIG DAY OUT FESTIVAL
According to his official website, Kanye West has joined the lineup for this year’s Big Day Out Festival in Australia. GAME PROMISES TO RESPOND TO 50 CENT
Late last week, 50 cent shot subliminal lyrics directed towards The Game in his newly released track “Love, Hate, Love.” After learning the news, the West Cost native took to his official Twitter page and promised that as soon as he is done touring, he will be in the studio recording another diss track aimed at Curtis. Looks like this is just one beef that will never go away.

T-PAINS TALKS NEW SINGLE
After listening to his new single “5 O’Clock,” featuring Lily Allen, we gotta admit that T-Pain definitely has a hit on his hands. The singer told Rap-Up.com, “The song is basically about me being where I am at a club. I’m just taking too long and Lily wants me to come home right now,” explained T-Pain. “And it happens a lot with me in real life, so why not make a song about it? She doesn’t care where I am or what I’m doing, she just wants me to come home. JUSTIN BIEBER TO RELEASE CHRISTMAS LP NEXT MONTH!
Justin Bieber shot a music video for a song called “Mistletoe,” last week. The young singer took to Twitter to keep fans up to date on the shoot. He also announced his Christmas album, tentatively titled Under The Mistletoe, will arrive in stores on November 1st. The album features The Band Perry, Boyz II Men, Usher and rumored collaborations include Taylor Swift and Sean Kingston.
DRAKE ISSUES “HEADLINES” VIDEO
In case you missed it, Drake released the video to his new single “Headlines,” on Sunday night. You can watch the clip via his blog October’s Very Own. Drake’s sophomore effort, Take Care, lands in stores on October 24th.

Christina Aguilera teamed up with Maroon 5 for their new hit single “Moves Like Jagger.” The song held onto the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for four weeks and is showing no signs of slowing down. Aguilera told MTV News that she “loved” the song the first time she heard it and said it “has elements from the 60’s and ‘70s, yet is so current and unique.” Right now, the singer is working on the follow-up to 2010’s Bionic, which is reportedly due next summer.
