JAY-Z AND KANYE HOST ‘WATCH THE THRONE’ CELEBRITY LISTENING PARTY

After nearly a year in the making, Jay-Z and Kanye West presented their historic album Watch the Throne to friends and industry tastemakers at a private listening session at the Hayden Planetarium at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City on Monday night. The rap kings showed no signs of their rumored feud as they previewed tracks off the album, a week before its iTunes release. The star-studded evening drew the likes of Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, Q-Tip, Solange, Busta Rhymes, Jada Pinkett-Smith, and more. |
ODD FUTURE ANNOUNCE TOUR DATES
According to their official fansite, Odd Future have just released the dates for their upcoming fall tour. The 27-city outing, which is being dubbed the Golf Wang trek, begins on September 28th in San Diego. The show will hit major markets including New York, Miami and Atlanta, before wrapping on November 8th in Tempe, Arizona.

KID CUDI POSTPONES PERFORMANCE
Kid Cudi has announced that his scheduled performance for Monday night at the Trib Total Media Amphitheatre in Pittsburgh has been cancelled. The rapper was forced to call off the show due to illness. According to a press release, “Cudi sincerely regrets this unavoidable cancellation and apologizes to fans for any disappointment caused.” Fans can expect the show to be rescheduled and tickets will be honored at the new date.
RIHANNA, GAGA, PERRY, BEYONCE RUNNING MUSIC?
Rihanna recently told Glamour magazine that she, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Beyonce and Ke$ha are dominating the music scene today. She said, “Woman are definitely dominating music right now.” Ri Ri graces the cover the September issue of Glamour.
· Rihanna’s quote from Glamour magazine: “Women are definitely dominating music right now, and that’s because we are competitive beings. I feel like music hasn’t been this exciting in a while.”
JUSTIN BIEBER BACK ON TOP OF SOCIAL 50 CHART
Justin Bieber is back on top of Billboard’s Social 50 chart after two weeks out of the top spot thanks to Rihanna and his girlfriend, Selena Gomez. Last week, Bieber earned over 355-thousand Facebook “likes” as well as 155-thouasnd Twitter followers. Other hot artists on the chart include: Lady Gaga, Akon, Michael Jackson, Katy Perry, Eminem, Shakira, David Guetta and Pitbull.
· Demi Lovato is up ten spots to number 12, thanks to her single “Skyscraper.” After falling off the chart last week, Christina Grimmie is back at number 17 after she posted a video of herself singing Lovato’s aforementioned hit “Skyscraper.”
